Well if that works out I'm going to see about getting a set for myself. I need something that rides a little smoother and will give me the lowering capabilities I want. Are the shocks for the 92-06 Civic as well?

No the shocks are for 89-91 Civic/Hatch/Crx:

8041-1166SP4 Front
8041-1153SPRT Rear

Hmm, so if this works out for you I'll see about getting some front springs for my rear. The front could stay the same, correct? Since that fits and rides like a regular EF, right?

Default Wagovan suspension

The fronts are good to go Rev. Right off the bat, we dumped it!! In fact, we had the 185/60 14 rubber tucking and the wagon drove, handled and felt great except for the rear.
That's what's great about Ground Control Eibach springs. Essentially you customize pick the specific spring ratings and lengths that are suitable to your liking.

Keep in mind also, that the front shocks, I have the sleeve sur-clip set at the middle of the three height settings and the rear is at it's lowest. With the rear though, there is still plenty of adjustment at the spring perch to come down lower (roughly 2.5" more). So, to compensate for the rear shocks almost being fully collapsed when dumped, heavy chassis load, I went with the taller and much stiffer spring. The tophats/bumpstops will also add some help!!

Yea, my car is sitting about ten threads up on the front coilsleeves and the rear is completely dumped but still looks to have wheel gap. I'm using skunk2 sleeves and springs with skunk2 sport shocks.

Looks like '09 will be a good year for my wagon.

I'm taking care of the following all at once:

1. Swap AZ Race Machine mounts for anodized black HASports with softest 62A poly (or other HASports if I find a used set cheap and simply replace the poly with new 62As for like $60.00)

2. Swap YS1 LS tranny (actually a good tranny; no grinds) for a YS1 GS-R tranny that I will put all new OE bearings, seals, and LS 5th gearset into it

3. Swap worn out shift linkages with new HASports

4. Add a Skunk2 short shifter and some sort of extender to it

5. ***Depending on tax refund*** possibly drop in a helical LSD into the GS-R diff while the tranny is apart

Currently the wagon drives great, but it's had an annoying buzzing around 2100-2200rpm ever since I got it a year ago. I have now driven two other LS swapped wagons that used different mounts and they did not have this buzz, so it's got to be the mounts. I don't dragrace the wagon so the softest 62A poly will be great.

Also the linkages were kind of rigged up and have always felt loose - there's a pin of some sort jammed in and broken off where the actual bitch pin goes, so the new linkages will take care of the sloppy crap.

After that I really can't think of a single thing the wagon needs from a drivability standpoint.

Long term goals would be new side moldings, but other than that it will probably remain unchanged for years and years to come. I usually finish a car and drive as-is.

Actaully something else I'm looking into is having my seats reupholstered. turns out one of my Dad's friends is a third generation interior guy who I'm familiar with his work, but had no idea he was such good friends with my Dad. I've got a really cool idea for what I want the seats to look like, but the Q will be even with a good deal I wonder how much it will cost.

If I pulled it off it'd be *****...all cloth too.

I should be able to find out where to get that kind of sheet metal, my dad makes that kind of stuff all the time. he made an entire smooth underbody pan for his NSX out of aluminum. ill talk to him and let you know. (i need to know anyway, ill be making skid plates for the corolla in spring)

hit me up when you go to the meet in Madison, we can roll the wagons hard!!!

the size will be more like 3'x5' so then i can cutt to match. i have your # saved as "rally sam" so i wouldn't forget. by then the wagon should be complete & ready for dirt. oh ya where did you get the rubber for your mudflaps?

i dont have any current digital pictures of the NSX sorry, ill post em if i find some, or the next time i see it ill take some pics.

as for the mudflaps, they are big truck mudflaps from good ol' Farm&Fleet. only $15 for a set of two. they are huge so you can use the whole thing, or cut to fit if you need to.

and by the way there was an ice race on sunday in Hustisford. (sorry i forgot to call you tom) but for what its worth i took 3rd in my class and 16 overall (out of 78, so not too bad)

ther is a rally-X on this sunday if anybody has a rally ready car (or at least not lowered). tom i know you donr have the suspension done yet, but you could come and see what youll be getting youreself into if you want.

ya the wagon wont be ready in time. if you dont mind maybe i could roll with you? if not i'll see if the gf has nothing planned & take her car. i'de like to watch an event before i attempt it. which reminds me i have to buy a valve cover gasket kit. i'm getting oil in cylinder plug 3 & it's causing a nasty miss-fire.

"metal express" or "speedy metals" should have what you need for plate aluminum. they are both in the milwaukee area, so look em up in the phone book or the net. give those a try.

as for the rally-X you can ride with me if you want, give me a call on friday or saturday to get the specifics.

Sounds awesome man. I need to do the same kind of stuff to my wagon, it needs a decent amount of money to be a good and clean daily. The suspension is honestly driving me crazy.

And to the guys who are running the front springs in the rear, and the rear springs up front, it is definitely doable. I would have thought more people had known about this. A lot of people do this in RR/AX and stuff, my EK suspension is like that. All of the springs I own for my EK are interchangeable. I have 10K, 14k, 18k, 20k, and soon 24k. I figured you could do this with EG's and Ef's too. I know Rodney has done this with his Eg, atleast I think I know..... props to you guys though for thinkin outside the box and getting it to work though. I didnt know it was more 'custom' I guess then it was/is.
