It looked pretty good on the photochopped picture, and a friend just happened to have a spare driver door sitting around from a parted out four door, so he decided to paint it. It's going to be painted a bunch of different things throughout time.

its pretty crazy looking. but it just doesn't flow at all where its painted.
if it faded away or started in a better location and carried through more it would look better.
but it came out great! whoever did the painting did a great job on it. looks straight, even.
for being different and trying something new. now just make more of it different.

I see where you're coming from, but it was kinda placed there to stick out, and not really blend in. If you can fit a rising sun in somewhere it's not really going to "fit in" it's more than likely going to pop out, which is what happened. I tried to start it in other places, or even carry it on to other parts of the car and it just didn't come out as great, so this idea worked best. xshytlipsx did the painting and the masking, he didn't want to do the side molding but I helped him mask it off and it came out great. But what you can't see is the cracks or the cracking it did from the white to the red, where the chips came off from masking, so pictures make it look great.

word. i gotcha. i guess blending a red rising sun anywhere on a horizon grey car would be impossible. .

Re: (.kyle)
Yeah I tried red riding sun on to a black door, but didn't look as nice, but I never tried to fade it into a black door. It probably would've looked a lot better. But it looks great now, and the door was red to begin with, so it was just easier to pick up that paint and do it that way.
