Hey guys, would you trust macco to do a paint job?

In the 8 years I've been doing this car enthusiast bit I've seen hundreds of maaco paint jobs and 1 came out decent.

Ok, but all my buddy's had there cars done near my town and they came out official. idk i don't want a messed up paint job.

i wouldnt trust maaco, only because my paint in what i deem "bad" shape looks better than some of the maaco paint jobs i have seen. i wouldn't risk it on my car at least

However... If you are driving a car that is multicolored then find you an acceptable candidate for a maaco paint job.

Not sure what you mean by "official" but most maaco jobs peel/flake off in a couple years due to improper prep or lack of additives in the paint. Especially on flexible front bumpers that are exposed to the worst conditions (70+mph highway, hitting the ground entering/leaving parkings lots).

its still pointless to spend a couple hundred bucks to get it painted and it not last, would make more sense to save up for a little longer and do it right the first time

Thank you guys for you imput, i got a qoute today at macco he said they charge between 200-1,300. So my buddy is doing the body work and im probably going to take it there, just the simple fact that i no personaly the painter i talk to him everyday he said he will hook it up. so im going to throw him 100$ bill and he said it will come out perfect its not what you know its who you know

its not that they cant lay down paint.. its that they lay it down on EVERYTHING and dont prep ANYTHING , so the paint is overspray everywhere and flakes off almost every time
