I would HIGHLY advise against it. the wastegates usually fail quickly, the mnaifolds crack, some of the time the turbos leak @ startup. basically if you buy an ebay kits expect to replace all those things, and also consider that it normally doesn't include a complete oil line setup or injectors.

I was able to get my entire setup, including install and tuning costs for around 1500...here's the link to my build thread:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1727010

by getting quality used parts, it's only a little more than a standard cheap ebay kit, and you kinow the parts will be reliable.

only thing I needed was the IM converted to US spec(I think all that was needed was a pcv valve or something like that...I honestly don't remeber...I was told what it needed and thenm ook it back to the shop to get done) and the a US spec P30 long box. needed some other **** if the swap would have been done right the first time(like all the wiring soldered and heatshrunk with loom around it), but because I paid to have everything done(at the time the only thing I had done to a car before that was a tuneup and oil chnges...plus I didn't have any of the required things to get the motor out) it got damn pricey(ECU alone was almost 500...because I couldn't find anyone to borrow it for a day).

For the record though, in case you were wondering, it was bone stock when it passed, then to keep it legal I just added mainly CARB legal, or parts that looked OEM

I would sell my sol in a second if it meant nabbing an equally good condition miata or corolla. RWD>all. Although topless rides in the Sol rank pretty damn high on my automotive fun list.

EDIT: ownage?!?!

Thanks man! That side of my car kinda bugs me because the lip needs mounted like a 1/4" higher. But I'm just **** about stupid stuff like that. I should be worrying about fixing my pink paint and actually putting some "go" behind my car, haha.

Haha, I wish it was something cool but I'm just looking to hopefully accomplish intake/exhaust this spring. Then perhaps get around to replacing my shocks and getting a strut tower bar.

Actually I've got a set of low mileage OEMs laying around. Might just throw them on to help with the pretty much blown shocks I have now. I'd love to upgrade but $$$$
