Well my car went into the shop for a heart transplant basically. I found out that my crank had shifted in my block and was doing some massive damage. So much that the block was donzo.
All because the clutch spacer I had gotten didn't go on the car when it came out of the shop.
So anyway while at that shop, the Honda mechanic there quit. And they outsourced the work. Well, they told me a price and I have paid the price that they had said that it would cost. However the person they outsourced the work to wants 3x the money I heard. I'm sadly stuck in the middle. However, I really don't need her right now.
I'm jobless.
I would have to register her right away and I don't know anything about the new Cali rules.
And that would make my insurance go up.
Did I mention that I don't have a job right now..

if the same people on NWP are on here, they must have split personalities. most people NOT ALLand not just in the del sol section but this forum in general that i have spoken with have helped out with questions, and i've heard more positive comments. AS opposed to getting no answer when i tried to commment on the Dsoc thread were all the del sol "gurus" hang.

I dont always drop the top on mine, only when the weather is bareable here in SoFla. there are times the sun is just too harsh at a stop light.

i already own evo and the del sol was originally going to be a daily until i started to throw expensive mods onto it. so that didnt last long.

JDM south. its ok and i definetly had a better experience there, then pizzaworld. but its also not a big favorite of mine either.

Once again im not trying to start a war but don't act like that site was the greatest and everyone was super nice and friendly cause they weren't... and from what i recall about a few months back, all of you hardcore pizza boys were coming on here flaming this site saying pizzaworld is better then here blah blah blah. if its so much better why even come back here ??? i know your forum is down but i can speak for alot of the other del sol guys who are newer here, it was alot more pleasant until the old timers came back into this Sol thread.

Top fuel still has it. How do I know? They did an interview with some import magazine, I can't remember but it was in print last two years. Anyways I saw the Sol on a lift, possibly sans motor swap. What plans they have for it I don't know but last I knew they still had the car

Anyways, not like anyone cares... No this isn't another "I've changed" statement cause history shows that I'm a bit of an angry troll... But... I'm going to ignore any attacks against me, and I'll also restrain myself from making ******* comments and refrain from any drama. I tire of trolling and allegeded scamming. I've certainly have done myself in with any chance of making publication by making the wrong enemy's, so it is what it is. I'm not here for any popularity contests or ego boosting. My sol is under a long term reconstruction, and no I'm not selling my Mugen parts so please DSOC people stop asking lol. I'm happy to see a sol made the cover of Honda Tuning, I am of course super jealous but my car is no where near the caliber of Will's magnificent car.

I hardly come on forums anymore, I've seemed to lost all interest in what people are saying and not like all of us are on good terms anyways, no need to chat it up.

What I don't like seeing and hearing about is a certain someone who is apparently trash talking other people's sol's giving you DSOC guys a bad rep. He's spoken badly about me and several other sol people, and doesn't quite fit the bill of friendly family people DSOC paints itself as. I'll let you guys handle that person internally, if anyone wants to message me about that ill talk about it there, not here.

I've seen it numerous times where the other forum people come on here and just start bullshit and havoc then the mods have to come in and clean up or in a recent case last year lock the thread.

i'll give a good example go back a page and someone was attacking and ******* with this reverend guy again. I have read of what he has done in the past and on YOUR FORUM. why come here and start the drama again ??? its honestly annoying and a waste of bandwidth.

Another member i won't throw his name out but he's an " old timer " sol owner also a more well known nwp sol owner and member. i asked for helped regarding installing seats into my sol. i know he installed some recaros so i was asking info on it. he basically gave me a short reponse, and when i pmed him again for a tad more info he just never responded back like i was pestering him.... Last i checked car forums are supposed to be for fellow enthusiasts to help each other, to share knowledge and be friendly.


Not act as if their too " GODLY" to speak to someone just because they have a large post count....

Sooo all in all to your question to me. i get that vibe that the click from the other site comes onto here when their site goes down and i never seen anything productive its always nonsense.

I am fairly new to working on cars myself but have been big on mods and racing for about 6 years now. I previously owned a 89 Toyota Supra turbo and an Audi TT Quattro. I put a lot of work into the Audi myself and with the help of a few other people. However now since I own a 94 Del Sol Si, I am stumped as to what the best choice for mods are. I am looking to run between 350 and 450hp. Besides the paint, it is pretty much flawless. Everything is new or recently new. If you click my profile you can see what I currently have in the vehicle and what I plan on putting in in the coming future. I would love some suggestions. So if someone or even a few people could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. (I WOULD PREFER PRIVATE MESSAGE RESPONSES) I have a 00' Civic Si B16a2 motor with 60k miles on it, and an ls tranny with 65k miles. So I would pretty much need parts to fit or accommodate that engine. I mentioned the trans because I was considering swapping it for a gsr down the road and was wondering the benefits when doing so. I am also considering painting it an sti blue within the next two months.

 

Long story short.
I went to the U of M for a semester. Hated being a full time student again, dropped out, picked up another job, and am now using dominoes tip money (Delivering in my Sol ;D) to finance a turbo B series build. (currently running stock d16)
Anybody around here that's within reasonable distance from Minnesota that could sell me a long block?

There's a different guy I know that lives down in Mankato that has a JDM b16a shortblock, but he wants $360 for it. Isn't that a little steep?

 

Does anyone know of a good source your oem mugen parts because I've been looking for the bumper, side skirts and wing. If not my last resort is eBay and I'm not trying to ride around in fake parts.
