[QUOTE=B00M3R;44989213]Nope I retrofitted them myself.
But I did spend about $600 to do so.

TL projectors, Bi-xenon Morimoto 35W ballasts, retrofit source Gattling gun shrouds, ZKW-r high output lenses, Philips D2S 85122+ 4300 Kelvin bulbs.

Can't get any brighter output to the ground without going 55W bulbs.

Yeah that's what i've seen a lot of people do. Is just do it themselves. Its just a ton of work. haha I do want to see someone bu the projector ones off the England ebay and see if they are an good.

I've been thinking about going back to my roots and getting another del sol and doing a mild gas sipper build
Miss it a lot but i own a s2k now but driving it daily on construction roads with sticky tires just kills my gas mileage. Anybody have any decent pics of samba green sols? it was always my least favorite color but a good buddy of mine has one that I'll be able to trade for my ITR plus cash which will just make things easier and I know my R is going to somebody I trust and that's more important to me than settling with samba green rather than finding another CBP del sol which i'd rather have.

i think the ones from England are like $900usd before shipping, would most certainly be cheaper to just buy the parts seperately and make your own retrofit..or maybe even have a company such as lightwerks to do the retrofit', they do look nice though, if they were around 500 id snag a set for sure, 900 for an ebay pair that ive never seen anyone else use seems sketch haha

the hardest part was just working with the cluster surround to fill the gaps in the cluster area " i decided to make it more complicated by adding more guages haha but it turned out good ", its a bit harder than it is on a crx whre you can just cut a flat piece of carbon around the s2k cluster shape and call it a day

as far as wiring its actually not too bad, just get a wiring diagram of the del sol cluster and a wiring diagram of an s2000 cluster and match them up.

i am using the vss converter so the mph works properly but i dont think these are still being sold how-ever you can buy a "speedo healer" which bascially does the same thing, im not sure how different the wiring is for that unit but on mine i had to run a long shielded cable "has foil inside the sleeve" straight to the vss switch on the tranny so my mph didnt jump around every once in a while, sense i ran that kind of wiring i havnt had any hic-cups'

you"ll also need a coolant convertor to convert the signal for the cluster so your temp guage works properly, i believe modifry makes these and they are also fairly simple to hook up and can be programmed

just be sure to take your time on the wiring and solder/heat shrink each connection after the line is tested/working, it took me a while to finish the wiring as it was my first major wiring job and at the time there were no right ups for a del sol and i hadnt seen one in a del sol yet, but a bit of research and wiring diagrams got it accomplished

what you"ll need

-s2k cluster with plugs
-modifry coolant converter
-vss or speedo healer

Hi folks, i need some advice.
I have recently had my SiR Converted from Auto To Manual, and now my Trans top doesn't work anymore.

With the Auto i had to be in Park and the hand brake on for it to work..

In Manual you only need the handbrake on.

Does anyone know how i can overcome this problem as lots of wires were cut but i have no idea where they go..

Many Thanks

This sounds like that eclipse spyder issue I ran into years ago when doing a turbo swap on my buddy's car. The roof wouldn't work correctly with a turbo ECU. I found there was another component that talked to the ECU about the roof position vs vehicle speed. The purpose was safety based in my opinion which is what your situation sounds like (having to be in park with the ebrake on). I would look at how the computer probed the automatic to see if it was in park. It may be as simple as putting a jumper in (although the cpu will think you are always in park) to get it to work.

Did you change to a manual ECU when you did the swap?

Hi there,
Thanks for the quick reply. The ECU is still an Auto one as i have problems with the gear change at the moment and its in the workshop.

I will be getting it tuned next week so will have a Manual ECU fitted so wii let you know how it goes.
Many Thanks
John
