The S has 168 hp, and alot better torque. My sol is also heavy and is a simple ESi frankenstein motor with a bad gasket.

besides the ownage wasn't at a light, it was from 70mph to 120.

 

I give credit to the minis. I raced one in my old EG hatch(b16 pushing 160whp and 110ft/lbs no passenger or rear seat at the time) off the line I had him by about 1/2 a car...after that I never had a chance. granted his motor was a lot more modded than mine(he claimed he had about 250hp) but still they are pretty damn quick/fun in near stock form. I never would have thought it.

Off the start even my ESi P.O.S. can take off quicker, but when my best friend let me borrow his for 2 weeks while he was away, I noticed that it's got way better pick up and torque once it's moving - especially without the traction control.

 

If you've ever watched the film, "Chasing the Touge", they have a section on guys who run minis. They actually look like pretty fun cars. No shame in that loss. If it was a VW beetle on the other hand or a Cavalier, then we'd be talking And James, here's some more blackmail material since we're posting ourselves.

Hey I see a bunch of lowered Del Sol's in here I just lowered mine and wanted to know should I take it to a shop to get an alignment right away or is it okay for a bit. I just had it aligned like 2 months ago.

I personally got mine aligned the day after I got the suspension in. There are some people here who never messed with it, but you also hear stories about alot of ate up tires. I would just ahead and get it fixed. The toe angle is your main concern. Best of luck

 

Eh I just bought my tires when it was aligned last. I don't want to buy another set. I'll get it aligned today also anyone that was contemplating getting koni/GC should get it. Very nice suspension.

 

yes align it everytime you change anything...its better off that way.

i never aligned my ****, and blew out 2 tires the day before i came to iraq

 

i didnt align my first sol for a couple weeks and i only gave it a small drop. it ate up the insides of the tires pretty good. so get 'er aligned to be safe.

 

I still havnt aligned my tires since my drop. But my tires are shitty anyways.(dunlops)

My B16A has 170 JDM YO!!! I havnt gone up againts any Cooper S' but i have punked a couple of GTI's and 1.8T's and LS1 camaros
