K are much reliable for dd. And 6-speed in EG is nicest thing ever.

That's what I'm saying... I guess I'll stick with my turbo-d.

300-400whp NA is no problem in a built K now a days even in a street car (not on pump but still feasible)...but when was the last time you got something like that from a B/D/H other than in a race car?

there are also other factors besides just peak hp to account for, like torque or even the 6spd tranny.

if you're referring specifically to this guys case with a perfectly fine boosted b making good power than I completely agree its kinda silly or a waste. I only swapped cause I had problems but if I didn't then I probably would of stuck with it...maybe. Still not enough to fully justify the swap but figured I could rebuild again and have to make it better which means more money or start fresh from square one but with something different so that I'm actually making progress and not just downgrading.
Its funny cause I had a 404whp LS-vtec top mount turbo as my last set up, but it didn't last long. If I had the technology/info/resources back then thats availabe today then it probably would of been more reliable.

Not trying to go "anywhere" and perfectly fine stating your opinion but just thought it was biased so stated mine, which is also biased too. I understand perfectly why tony palo and a majority of the outlaw class and the fastest hondas in general are still B-series. Can't beat two decades of R&D that went into those motors which K-series simply does not have. But its come a long way for the few years its been around and moving fast. Especially in the NA game which that class is already dominated by K (Clutchmasters insight, EG and DC).
defiantly not arguing that fact! lol i know k series has MUCH more potential for both n/a and boost, and the 6-spd tranny is an awesome advantage, especially in a n/a or nitrous car but for boost, 5 spd is where its at they are very torquey motors, and tons of fun to drive (talking about a k20, or k24 frank haha )

and yes, i was specifically refering to him.. i asked him why, he said why not, so i told him my opinion haha quite simple.. your case is different kinda. i mean ****, im sure you already had most of the swap parts/motor laying around before hand anyways haha and i agree, if daily drivability is your main goal, a stock k series works well.. but then again so does most any other well built/put together setup

as far as the big boy turbo cars (cft/t1/etc) sticking with b's is not only cause of all the r&d, and years put into b series, but i know cft had their k series hot rod blue car, and swapped it all back to b series.. k series i guess made TOO MUCH torque, and could never hook up with it lol so went back with what they were good with.. now for a fast n/a on the other hand, k series rules

That's the plan mang! Might be boosted but more details on that later during the week. Not gonna rush anything. Just going to see how things turn out. If not, I'll just drive it up there N/A (gonna be **** *** slow lol)

Things I gotta fix:

- Can't find my freaken o2 sensor AT ALL!! So i just have it plugged up right now and seems to idle fine and run fine

- My throttle cable is all messed up. Will need to get a new one tomorrow from Honda.

The good news is, I can just all that crap from my sister's civic because she's out of the country for now haha

Why are you unboosting????!!!!

edit: UPS just delivered my aux lights!

im taking the kit off, cause, well my tranny is ****EDDD and i dont feel like putting in another one, and i got another motor sitting in the garage in a million pieces haha so, its gotta come off sometime! might as well make it before IA so i can cruise with some cold *** a/c haha

damn that sucks!! My tranny is my weak point as well. I MUST build that after IA
I won't have a/c and it's going to suck major *****!! lol

I have a P28 right now but it's not chipped. I need to go ahead and chip it sometime this week. I'll probably tune with ectune or chrome.

Oh yeah, gotta tap my oil pan still.
I just ordered one of these for my oil line. Used on the Integra few years back and never had a problem with it

Thinking about getting some DEFI gauges for the sol but DAMN they're expesnive dude!!

Def not doing that gay blue. Debating between white and amber. I originally wanted white but found a used boost amber gauge for cheap. So makes me want to get the oil pressure amber as well...

Not sure which looks better with sol cluster.

yea i guess after 2+ years of abuse/tracking, its finally starting to go.. it has a hard time going in pretty much every gear at high rpms, and grinds going into 3rd no matter what i think my bigger radials are what killed it..

yea well last year to IA i didnt have my a/c going, but rather HEAT, stupid rad fan so this year, i wanna ride coldddddd

i have stealthmode lines on my car, but uses a similar/same type of fitting for the back of the block.. mine works awesome!

Glad to hear Pete.

I'm sure you'll get the small BS worked out no problem. Just takes time and there is definitely enough.

I'm rolling to IA with no a/c, p/s, cruise, heat, fan, with stiff suspension, a bucket seat, and 3" exhaust. Should be a fun 18 hours LOL

Only thing that mights save me is the silencer, 6th gear, a pillow for my back, lots of music and lots of cold/energy drinks. Should be an interesting experience.

My 3 reserved rooms have dwindled to only 1 now so if anyone needs 2 bedroom suits (4 person) then hop on them after i cancel next week...

comfort suites, close to the event... i'll only be needing 1 room and from what i've seen they're all booked pretty much now...
