hey guys, i was considering starting a new post but you all were on the subject of b16's and i found a bone stock vtec del sol that was actually a family car for a long. its a 95 with 150k and some change, hood paint is fading a bit, and might have some little door dings here and there, nothing has been replaced yet, like i said its a family car and was never mistreated. i feel like this is a really hard find and really dont want this to slip through my fingers hes asking like 2 grand above private party for it because he claims to know what he has and keeps telling me that this is a rare find. i was wondering how much you all would figure its worth. please HELP.

i was considering doing some mods to it but didnt know what to start with it if im just starting...ive never been into the "rice" scene however i do and have enjoyed owning japanese cars, and know a fair amount about them.

so again, how much do you think is that car worth realistically, and what if any, mods should i start with that would yield the highest result at cheapest cost? Also i love good handling vehicles, what can i start out with to make this thing handle like a monster? Thanks again.

i apologize ahead of time for the mispost if anyone got offended. I appreciate any help i can get.

OH AND BUMP ON THE SEXY *** WHIP, LOOKS REAL FRESH!!

^ is he asking two grand above private party valued at excellent condition which less than 5% of all cars fall into this category, or 2k above fair or good condition? it all depends how you see it, we sure can't tell. let us know more about it, and keep in mind cash is king and anybody will lower the price of the car for cash in front of their faces. It is just a matter of looking for things in the car to pick at and negotiate the price. Good Luck.

he didnt want to make it seem like anything was wrong with the car which made me a little frustrated, then i told him that his car wasnt in excellent condition cuz thats near impossible, and he persisted to tell me that it was, im going to check it out tom. he said the hood was oxidized and he didnt say anything about the top, and im sure its got dings here and there because his photos were very selective if you know what i mean. Not to mention i asked him about the clutch and he persisted on letting me know that he wasnt going to lie to me and told me that yea it has not been replaced yet and that hes sure like any other part its going to need replacing. this car is literaly bone stock with zero modifications and very minimal things fixed on the engine itself.

i wanted to deal with cash as well but i feel like i should leave that as my last bargaining chip seeing as how ill try everything else to lower the price as much as possible first, what do you think about that?

you say i should just pick out all the little things wrong with it and make it seem like its going to be a real b to fix them or what do you mean?

thanks for the advice again.

Hahaha. it's an EG Si/Ex Lip or SiR whatever you wanna call it. I wanna get rid of those headlights, I want real JDM 1 pieces...I'm willing to trade + cash for 1 pieces which I highly doubt someone would want to.

on a side note, one of the bulbs in my gauge cluster blew =(

anyone have a DIY how to yank out the cluster??

I might as well replace all the bulbs, but not sure what size they are.

Its easy and straight forward, start by taking the upper trim piece with switches off and g from there

I swap clusters, change the tach, speedo, and bulbs all the time

I just bought LED bulbs for my cluster and should be on there way soon....
That and a bunch of other bulbs inside and outside of the car

Thanks

Did you buy the LED bulbs for the cluster online?

But yeah rest of the other lights in my car, I swapped them out for LEDs.

I think I only did the dome light, trunk light, and license plate lights so far.

Just be straightforward with the guy, tell him its over priced and that you have cash and want the car for what it's worth and that way nobody loses.
