ya, thats the only reason they aren't already on my car/hood

its basically trading locking for cf, which is a tough choice and which feature I want/need more

so until I decide I'll keep them stored in my room (kills me) and use what I already got:

I think I might, but I will warn you its not pretty at all
Lot of carnage on the underside of the entire hood...hacked for clearance
I really want to do something about it but haven't made it enough of a priority and kind of just planned on getting CF anyways
Just kind of got it to work/fit when I was doing the swap and didn't care after I was done
Whole point was to be distracted enough by the bay to not pay attention to the shitty hood lol

also there are two types (actually for with locking and non locking) of the hoodpins
flush and "plus" flush. one mounts and sits on top and the other mounts from underneath so its completely flush with the hood
I have the top mount ones that don't require much precision in the cut like regular hood pins...the body itself covers it up if you make the hole a bit bigger, while the flush ones require you to cut a perfect hole.

they look like the outside actual latch. like the circle track from gran turismo lmao.

the "skirt" where the mounting screws go is not thick, but the area inside (circle track) is about 1.25" deep and that's all that you see from under hood..

Will, you take your hood off all the time anyway. =p

its a huge mechanism in itself, but inset and hidden inside/underneath the hood so it all sits flush

haha...only for like two shows

its a PITA...think i may have stripped the threads by now...

umm, well they did haha, theyre kinda ground flat now but theyre still only like 1/4"-1/2" off the ground
