Dammit someone explain tuning to me.... i swear its the most complicated thing ever, and its some big secret that is kept in the circle of those who know, but i know its really not. My basic questions are: If i just get say a hondata s200b with everything, hook it up and take it to my tuner, and let them have at it, then im good to go? Or do i need to put an eprom chip in my ecu as well? And can i do a reliable, long lasting, perfect tune myself with my Hondata and laptop? Do i need a wideband 02 only if i want to tune myself, or no matter what? What else should i know?

Yeah i know its kinda general but theres nowhere where it is all explained like the other modification issues..... And this is one of the last maijor issues that has me baffled completely.

Two words... chip it.
Chrome is by far the best option (like free hondata?). Buy yourself an eeprom burner or good moates ostrich and go to town... but for the love of god put in on a dyno, don't "street tune".

Basic steps
1) Get a P28 or similar Zif socketed ECU with a chip
2) Take it to a reputable tuner with an rom burner
3) Pay once, and probably through the *** for dyno tuning
4) Enjoy responsibly, never worry about it again.

Hey everybody!

For those asking about my car, it's still not done. I'm extremely pissed off, it's come to the point where I'm ready to make this guys life hell. I was recommended by a friend who had his car painted there and he did a very very good job. But many months have gone by and this guy keeps feeding me excuses.

I'm not saying anything to him (the body shop guy) at the moment, I'm waiting to see how the car turns out first. Either way I'm going to ask for a huge discount because the time he's taken is just ridiculous. If he refuses to give me the discount, then I'm going to make sure this guy losses business. I've never turned to inflammatory measures before but I'm prepared to go full out.

On a more pleasant note, the dSoc website is still in progress, sure we're having some delays but I must remind those who are inpatient that all of us involved have other things day to day that we must see to first. I too, like Macho for example, am burned out with end of semester work and finals just a few days away.

Aside from some personal setbacks and problems that almost canceled my visit to North America this Spring, I would just like to say I will be going to L.A. for one of the major meets (not sure which one yet) and simultaneously we will hold our first del Sol Owners Club meeting.

Just wondering if anyone knew where to obtain a new stock 96-97 front bumper besides the dealer. Just looking around to compare prices but I would like to go with a 96-97 front bumper when I go to get my sol painted here in the summer time.

^^ if you're looking for OEM, trying hondautomotiveparts.com, if not, ebay and any random body parts catalogue should have them.

Yeah I'm looking for an OEM bumper. I've been looking around and the only ones I can find are either body kits or 93-95 bumpers. I'll check hondautomotiveparts.com Thanks
