LOL I didn't even notice that LOL.....not mine to give....that pic is from the guy who owns the wheels still....for a little while anyways

Day of mixed emotions for me....wheels just got a 300 down payment and will be sold for a total of 1050 + the teg fat 5s with some beefy *** tires(195/60 ) by the end of next month

guess I shouldn't be too sad, I got them for 1080 with brand new tires(knew the owner of the shop....they were coming off his show car) and am selling them almost 3 1/2 years later for 1050 w/ about 50% tires AND getting semi-polished fat 5s gonna miss them though, fidt set of wheels I've ever owned(other than steelies)

well time toi see what I can work out for the GRNs now

that one in the pic had the valve stem removed guess it was just old or leaking from being stripped or something.....not sure why the tire was left on it

I'll just order some new stems from volk/rays if I have too(and assuming I get them....dude hasn't retruned my PMs or text or call) but I'll bet a tire shop would have the right ones(little 90* ones).

I do know that I'll bring a straight edge with me check the straightness of the wheels....even the cheap ADR spare.....don't want to end up like that one sucker on here (bought a set of CPFs or something for a premium price and they ended up being bent pretty bad and to fix them was over 300...all 4 were bent)

well ******, looks like as early as tommorrow I'll have the replacement wheels to start on.gonna be getting them ROTA CHEAP figure 400(may try and talk him down a little more due to some new things he mentioned needed they needed.....2 valve stem holders had 4, lost 2....may only be able to get them from volk/rays) with brand new no name(Ling Long...LOL) all season UHPs in the right size (195/50s) is a pretty damn good deal. I think the hardest part is just gonna be getting the right valve stems from there it;;l just be $$$
plans again (changed a few things):

-full teardown
-powedrcoat spokes gloss black or dark gunmetal...maybe even white again IDK
-get custom "VOLK RACING" decals for the spokes in blue
-blue anodize lips/(maybe full barrel if it's doable)....may just paint if it's a big price difference)
-polish &/or replace bolts(if one needs to be replaced I'll be replaceing them all just to look the same...would go with ARP for sure if they need replacement)....if I paint the spokes white I'll be going with black bolts and black lugs)
-polish/chrome center caps
-Paint "RAYS" logo (which is engraved on center caps) blue for a little contrast
-take care of valvestem situation
-put all back together
-get blue lugs

this will really make the car complete IMO

wow, don't think I've ever seen your car before, but it looks pretty clean

is that a masive oil cooler in the front? I was thinking it's an FMIC but it looks like it has AN fittings on it in the first pic

thanks, good eye on the AN fittings most people do mistake it for a FMIC it's actually the heat exchanger for my air/water IC normally I remove it for drag racing and just ice down the tank, but I decided to leave it on for the 20 minute sessions not knowing how bad heat soak would be if I didn't run a heat exchanger

she still needs lots of work to clean up (small dents, new paint, ect) but it's getting there

air to water IC hmm....what are the benifits of that to a normal air -> air?

does it also have a line to go into the turbo to cool that as well?(I know some turbos have liquid cooling ports near to each oil inlet/outlet.)

Water to air ftw!

One local water to air setup is making 815whp @ only 34psi becuase it has IAT temps of like 68 degrees
Not a surprise when ice cold air is pumped through an IC

It's so efficient at cooling turbocharged air it outlawed in some classes of drag racing.

Don't get me wrong tho, air to air does the job just fine and makes plenty of power.

Oh and ball bearing turbos require water/coolant lines to be run/fed into the turbo in addition to the oil lines if that's what your talking about.

yeah. I've seen some non-BB turbos with the water ports too though

so if someone's really bored wanna PS my idea for the new wheels?

-powedrcoat spokes gloss black or dark gunmetal...maybe even white again IDK
-get custom "VOLK RACING" decals for the spokes in blue
-blue anodize lips
-polished bolts
-polished center caps
-Paint "RAYS" logo (which is engraved on center caps) blue for a little contrast
-blue lugs
