the wiring wouldn't phase me, and the price isn't that bad to try it out
but the bezel would probably be the hardest for me
cause the biggest problem I have with doing a s2k cluster in a del sol is how the del sol cluster is designed with the 2 humps at either end and how the dash has those indents which make an s2k cluster look funny just sitting there without a nice bezel to blend it in
i think they are probably easiet and most common to install in an EK because the bezel is relatively easy to fab up and looks natural/oem in there.

thats exactly what I like to hear
not only having an s2k cluster to look pretty
but to be functional too

i probably should follow suit and not put the cluster in until I do a type-s head and pump
what tach do you have now?

Oh and no motor for me It was just not the right thing at all. I am really glad that I had my Dad check it out for me, since I was 2 and a half hours away. Guess I can afford my alarm again now.

I dont think there are any classes or awards just a huge *** meet with some racing and a drift expo this year.

in the guys defense wray,I gotta say,the shop that tuned it is not known for making power if you know what Im saying.,they're known for tuning for reliability and umm thats it. lol. they also use a dyno dynamics,which I heard generally reads lower than other dynos..but I am not 100% on this..</TD></TR></TABLE>

come on sasha. you know that we dont just tune for reliability, we tune for the highest possible HP on pump gas (reliably), which is usually what the customer wants. Yes, othe dyno's read higher than the Dyno Dynamics. some dyno's can read as much as 15% more than ours. you know how much we've gone out of our way to help you out maing. Still love the pizza joint.

I dont even remember what we were talking about,but im just saying a lot of ur dynos that I saw didnt produce power that'll make you go in terms of HP per PSI.

you guys are great business people and I'll vouch for that any day of the week,I dont have any personal complaints seeing that you guys have never tuned my car,I just commented on the dynos you guys posted on nosr vs dynos Ive seen on line,on most occasions as far as the hondas go,they seemed low..

Of course there's always the endless debate about dynos reading higher or lower,the customer themselves not setting up the car right and so on..

at the end of the day though,I've learned the dyno is just a tool to tune with. The number figures it throws out should not be set in stone and the numbers posted at the track will always do the real talking

yeah i saw that! looked pretty slick man
the last number on my tach is 8,but i have 500rpm left after that...and its good enough for me..I dont really go past 8200..
but I really want those skunk2 pro2s..the top end is just fun as hell..i dont even care what I run with em,it was just fun. LOL.

and yeah i saw that video,LOL what a powerband,vtec came in on like 7900 LOL.

Man, I've been excited all week to work on my Sol this weekend. Hoping to get my cam gear and cam tomorrow, then have it running tomorrow night. Then hopefully I can fix the hood so it's sealed closed at the scoop and raise the car up an inch or so (so I can get into the parking garage once I get the car back over here.)

I guess it makes sense cause thats stock rev limit on a GSR
LS-VTEC-T i was revving to 87 almost 9K with stock cams
but dual springs and 3-angle valve job

You still have the stock GSR valvetrain right?
Either way, I'm more impressed now that you ran 13s I guess
Must have great mid range torque
which makes sense since you want pro2s for high end powah!

and good luck with those when you get them
I've seen a couple set ups roll through the shop to get their pro2s tuned
but the cam was too aggressive for their set up, didn't have supporting mods, etc
same case with BCIIIs making less power than stock Type R or even GSR cams

i'm sure you'll have good results as long as you get a good tune

portion of my mugen collection:

and can now move up to bigger/major/important mugen parts
