Met a gangsta *** del sol owner today

Was gettin gas and i seen him pop his hood as he pulled in. I kinda waited to talk a bit because it was a clean captiva blue, with a slight slight drop and stock gsr wheels. Turned out he was running an LS/VTEC and was a white older dude (35+)... hella knew wassup with the car and all, said he was gonna get it tuned soon and stuff.

I'm soooold. definitely picking up a sol now, i dont think my mom would like to know I own three cars though

and im actually down with drums. never had a problem changing shoes or adjusting them. used to do it on a daily basis at work, so it doesnt phase me.

plus, drums are lighter.</TD></TR></TABLE>

wow,
considering the price of weatherstripping (which cost more than swapping complete energy bushings...)
good thing i don't drive my car in the rain or take it to the car wash...
only drive when sunny and wash and was it myself

do you have drum brakes?
no way right?

i know a guy that runs 10.5s on his EK and still has drums
wonder if he's gonna get rear discs or aparachute first LOL!!

I'm not sure if anyone caught my post about my friend's del Sol that was recently wrecked. Well, here's some photos I got to it today. Hopefully I'll be posting it up here for sale soon once I get a mod list and all. I think he's been very conservative about the price he'd like.

I wish I had money. I'd restore it.

So whats everyone doing about the targa top seal leak? Mine leaks mostly on the driver side right by the fixed window on the door.

Any silicone i can put on the seal and then shut the door to seal any gaps? Any help would be appreciated!

that's the most common area leaks occur, my only guess is that the ridge to channel the water isn't big enough.

By rubbing DIELECTRIC(sp???) GREASE (very small tubes that are like 2-3/each at pepboys) it really helps but does not totally stop the leaks unfortunately. luckily 1 tube is good enough to do every seal and the leak only makes itself evident in heavily pouring rain

w00t for an ownage....

I had a customer come in once. She is the first owner of a '93 S and still owns the car. Since it was new, she has put some Vaseline along the targa top seals. She's never had a single leak.

Vaseline should keep it from ever cracking. I've heard this is an age old remedy for rubber sealings.

I just use Wurth plastic and rubber care spray. You can't go wrong with German stuff thats TuV approved.

Either way, whilst mine does not leak, I'm going to buy new weather sealings within the next year before they disappear from the face of the planet entirely.

Does anyone remember that company that makes replacement carpets for all cars in various colors? URL anyone?

$200+
if you're lucky and find a deal and perhaps not the greatest condition...
$150-175?
I think I MIGHT have the brackets....
obviously i don't need them
Came with the car
just used them to "hold" up the bumper...
