so my buddy that's local to me with the CGP del sol he was building with a spoon theme and 5 lug told me that he just bought a white del sol instead !!!!

guess he went to maine and bought one that was supposedly stripped to bare metal and undercoated the shift out of. He said the whole undercarriage is white as well?

Anyway, he said he got it for $500 with energy bushings all around, but its just a nice chassis because its completely stripped.
nick, know anything about this car?

hater! JK
i've wanted the gold one for years now and finally found one/got one, so i'm happy
i'm looking to get the new style 6-speed **** though as well
love the "lever" grip of it though...
but the egg shape of the new one might be nice as well

what do shift ***** look either like ***** or rods?
how gay is that? (first person to ask me "you know how i know you're gay" get a LOL)
not to mention you have to grasp it tight in order to bang it into gear...
someone should put a silicone implant around their shift **** for a more comfortable grip as well as make it a little less homo...

Hehe, thats how I like to shift. Just rest the hand on top and pull each gear.

I've yet to find a **** I like

exactly!
i think you get a better stronger grip by holding it like a bat (good description )
shifting by holding onto the top is for AT and holding onto the side is for MT IMO
its all about ergonomics...
when i was learning to drive stick/shift
i held it on top and my dad slapped my hand and told me to grasp it from the side
(my mom also slapped my hand when i was a kid and started using my left hand and becoming a lefty like my dad is so i would learn to be a righty LOL)

i wanted the mugen shift since day one because it was the only real one that was made for the grip i wanted
mugen recently has changed over to the egg shape like i said..
and now mugen/honda is going with the straight up ball i think...

i heard the mugen si ****/shifter set up is pretty sweet though and feels awesome...

i think most shift ***** allow for either type of shifting grips
i.e. oem honda, spoon, skunk2, etc...

ryan for blaming VW instead of free ebay header with 2 holes in it

THATS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT

i wanted to build something similiar but burgandy like macho's sol.

</TD></TR></TABLE>

The holes in my free header did not keep my from driving it. The fact that my bf's 87 jetta quit working and he didn't wanna waste 100 bucks in gas driving back and forth to work in the VR6, is why I gave him my sol, and I've been driving the VR6 since I work close to home.

And air cooled VW and water cooled VW are two totally different things. My Dad has a 62 bug....

del sol heat seater buttons!!!
i want..
they came on the 96-97 del sols with the all black seats right?
didn't know that until recently if that is true...</TD></TR></TABLE>

I definitely don't have heated seats

As for shift *****, I liked my stock one just fine. The skunk2 one was a gift, and its something else I can put on my rather short list, so I put it on, cuz I need all I can get at this point.

And.....

I just got home from the exhaust shop...header is all plugged up...I sound normal again and the car feels awesome

my dad swears by the oem GSR leather shift **** every car he drives he uses it
even if he drives someone elses car, he brings his own and swaps it LOL

i also loved my neuspeed short shifter

i have the neuspeed cheap ghetto short shifter adapter kit now
but think i need the buddy club to really get the full effect (also need new cables too )

mugen makes a tsx and fit short shifter, but i don't think it will fit

hmm first ownage in a while:
i'll try and take it easy
can't wait to get back to the track

my dad's drag DC2

So I have these Sparco seats in my living room that I picked up for real cheap. Only problem is I don't have a camera anymore after my old one got jacked. All that these seats need are a good steam cleaning and the right rails, harnesses and harness bar and I'm golden on the interior

what are you going to do for a harness bar?
cause i'm going to have to keep the seat belts until then
also what are you going to do about the rails?
try and buy del sol specific ones?

As for rails, I will probably get some wedge engineering brackets and modify them to sit lower or something. Really doesn't matter to me as long as all 4 bolts are in there and my head isn't hitting the roof
