So a little update from the insurance company today. The guy who estimated the damage to my car declared it at $2,472. So the lady tells me my car is considered a total loss because they only value it at $3,000 and the damage is over 70% of that value. So now what they are telling me is I have to mail my title in and I'll receive a check for $2,900. Then they will mail my title to the Mva and I'll get it back from the Mva branded as salvage. I'll have to take my car to the state police and have it re inspected since it's now salvage to make sure it's road worthy. Also can't carry full coverage insurance on it now because it's a salvage. To say the least I'm really pissed about this. I don't mind the salvage part since I'll never sell it but having to get inspected by the police is a problem. I'd have to change a **** ton of parts over to stock. suspension,wheels,exhaust,possibly take the turbo off. Also not being able to have full coverage insurance anymore I just can't do that. So from someone keying my car it's considered totaled now. WTF!
I'm trying to work something out so that this doesn't happen. If I can get an estimate from a body shop that's less then 70% of the total value of my car then I will get a check for that amount and be able to keep a clear title. So the magic number is 2,300 or lower and I'm good. Luckily I have a friend who is the painter at the shop I planned on taking my car to have the work done. I think we will be able to get this whole thing solved and me keep a clear title. I might have to pay some out of pocket but I'm willing to do that and save on all the hassle that I'd have to go through the other way.

soooo...any chance i could get down on this? turns out i have a lead on an h22 so i may actually get some engine work done on my car before i get out of school.

But now I drive Honda, felt VTEC and I'm in luvvvv, my EK is going to be awesome!

here's my totaled EF.some dude hit and run me.I had no insurance.My front bulkhead was off by 2 inches and my chassis was twisted and my rear subframe was torn.
Then I stripped it

front frame shifted and the trailing arm was ****ed. the pillar where the trunk going up to the roof met shifted also.. i was surprised that the car didnt flip.. i walked away from the accident with no bruise or broken bones. just felt a little sore and was a little shaken up because it was my first accident.

yeah my trailing was ****ed as well,after the accident I just looked for my cigarettes and called a tow truck before the cops came since I had no insurance.tow truck comes,2 secs later a cop rolls by.I'm surprised my car didn't flip because the truck hit my quarter panel and made me spun out flying into a curb on a roundabout.

anyway i had a wreck in my teggy but i dont have pics anymore....i t-boned a hyundai at 40 mph....i was young stupid and not paying attention. live and learn. anyway, the front end was pushed in about 8-10" and off to one side about a foot....sold it for $400. i bought it running and driving for $850

his red ef 4door was clean. i remember prying that driver rear door open and 91sedankid was generous enough to push the door from the inside and it clipped me in the face.
if you havent heard, we all 3 live in the same area (hint, his car, eriks car are all EF sedans. =P)
