went to go tune my car today and ran into some problems.. drove up there fine. Before the tune we swapped out the spark plugs. Got everything ready and did a couple of run.

For some reason once my car gets into boost it starts misfiring and throwing off the dyno.. tried to figure out the problem and couldnt seem to figure it out. The chart showed 178HP/172TQ at 7600rpm boosting 4psi..

Unhappy with these number and will return once i figure out the problem.. video will be posted later.

The coil may be going bad in your dizzy. To much gap on your plugs and the spark is getting blown out. Map sensor is messed up. Those are a few things I'd try first.

sc34dc4: im going to swap out the dizzy and spark plug wires. hopefully its the wire because they old..

my_efsedan: I got on it when i went home yesterday and it was fine. but after driving it a little longer it started doing it again. Wasnt as bad but we'll see i didnt get to drive it that much.

dumaDA: hook it up with a job! im bored outta my mind at home nitto is getting boring.. no one wanna race me because i do bracket and my car is dead on everytime..

ITR cams arrived this morning and I spent my Friday night finishing up the motor. I'm sad to say it's finished but also happy cause now I can start saving for S300 and a new tune.

lol true. There's only 2 mini's plus a stand up chest freezer. The stainless one is the actual fridge in the basement for drinks and beer. You can't see the 3 microwaves haha. My roomate's father was the hvac teacher at a technical school and he recently retired after 23yrs. So he had a bunch of **** he gathered and gave it to his son to fix and sell. That's why I don't have a garage to use anymore. There are probably 30+ ac units out there.

So a couple of friends and I took a drive to get some in n out. The car is driving WAY BETTER with the new spark plug wires. on the way there it was just us vs us and right before we exited i ran a prelude.. After i passed the prelude i realize it was a chick that was racing me..

Was having problem with my clutch. Wasnt grabbing when i powershift. However on the way back i found out that if i let off the gas when i shift the car will grab. Was trying to run my friend in a N/A partly built DB1 but he was texting and i ended up running a foxbody 5.0 mustang. Pulled on him the 1st run, 2nd run was interupted by another car, and 3rd and final run i smoked him badly.. very fun night to say the least.

Although the car wasnt able to be fully tuned it runs pretty good after the wires were replaced. Cant wait to go back and get a retune and see how much she's really pushing out!

8:6 to 8:9 compression ratio. Your ratio's will never be dead on unless your working with a block and head that are of factory thickness. Any time you deck either one of those 2 things your compression ratio will change. That's why Wiseco gives you a range such as 8:6 to 8:9. I'm basically running a 9:1 ratio since both have been decked. Yes anything between 9:1 and 10:1 will be fine for a dd.

Just remember the lower your compression ratio the more boost you will have to throw at it to achieve your power goals but it also has less chance of knock. It's better to run more boost and lower compression ratio since the additional air can be compensated with more fuel. Opposite for higher compression ratio but at 10:1 you have nothing to worry about with a reputable tuner. That goes more for like 11:0 and higher. People have been boosting stock ls and gsr motors for years and the factory specs are...
b18a 9:4:1
b18a1 9:2:1
b18b1 9:2:1
b18c1 'us' 10:0:1
b18c 'jdm' 10:6:1
