Just sharing my story..
I bought my car 6 yrs ago, knew nothing about cars.I then discovered modifying on the net lol and started to have a crack!
Well,6yrs later and what a journey it's been.My motto has been to 'Work with what U got' after I read it on d-series.org at the beginning plus I recognised what a Great engine the d is.I Love my car but more importantly the engine and playing with it.
Apart from a few,we are just starting to understand the potential of the d here in Oz as a whole..but unless U do the work yourself,it's a lot more expensive here.We aren't as quick to grab a spanner here as U guys so most go the b route..
But as we are learning DIY'ing is where it's at and the d is a super FUN engine plus we are broke ****'s lol,the d gets more popular. One build inspires 5 more etc etc
U can feel mainly due to lack of money the d is about to get very popular here in Oz.
P.S. DIY's in sig

I must be the only broke one here... I still have the original y8 and tranny with 220k miles now. Put in an Exedy OE clutch and Fidanza lightened flywheel 1100 miles ago. I still beat the **** out of it on a weekly basis. I'm actually going to the drag strip tonight to see if a new clutch will give me better times. If I can manage a 15.9, I would be insanely happy. But I know the best I'll do is 16.3 or 16.4.
wow havnt been in here in foreverz wuts good everyone!? Chris and Jerry still regulars? still rockin the CRV i traded my coupe for last year: and a couple weeks ago i traded my GC impreza for an ek wit a ton of mods; really happy so far
