honestly, if i were you i would go all out and get a cat back because the stock piping is tiny, and it has a few un-necessary bends to it. you can also piece one together with sections at parts stores and some camps

Its so dam expensive though, and I am not really looking for much performance. Just some tone really. I don't know, we will see. I keep going back and forth.

O alright. Then nevermind on those lol. And ya I will have to keep a look out. I am debating about the SRS on ebay. Alot of people seem to think its an ebay exhaust, but everyone who has them say they are pretty decent for how cheap they are.

yeah i thought about getting one but i wanted a chambered muffler and not a straight through because the f22 doesn't sound good with a straight through imo

I feel ya. Everyone has their opinions. I think the srs on the youtube vid sounds good. I am really thinking of just buying it... I can probably get it for 210-225 depending on what I offer him. And I get 2.5 from cat back with the style I want.

Whatever you do, please get it welded instead of clamps (If need be)...I went through so much trouble on my 97 because I clamped the muffler instead of welding it to the cut piping from the stock axle back. Its worth the money, especially if it falls off on the freeway

Haha ya it will be either a bolt on or welded custom one. I am between the full cat back SRS, a cheaper system but has pretty dam good reviews if your looking for more sound and looks then performance...

And then my local shop said an axle back would be about 80-120 depending on the curves and such, plus muffler. So I could do an HKS axle back for about $350 - or I could do a Megan axle back for about $180-200 depending on what I get the muffler for.

Its like cheap muffler then $250 muffler, there is no inbetween for the cans. So I am in debate mode lol.

I paid 180 for the muffler, and the install.

Out the door.

I Don't know the brand.

I'll go back to the shop tomorrow and get it.

I picked it out of a catalog. lol

What made me pick it out was its size and shape. The sound was extra!

I didn't know it would sound like that

Man it sounds beast haha. You did good. And got it for a great price.

Im thinking of throwing the SRS guy on ebay a lowball offer to see what he will take.. my only concern now is if the piping hangs lower then stock - but my local guy said he can weld some hangers on and change the angle for a few bucks..

I just need to man up and buy it lol, I hate freakin decisions

Bennykins18 that exhaust sounds really good, probably even better under load, did you find out what muffler that is yet?
What turbo size do you guys recommend for 200hp-250hp on a D16Y8.

Matt

I traded a ef hatch bone stock it would run but smoke like crazy. I paid 200 for it and bought a y7 for 35 dollars. I was going to fix the ef but i came across a killer deal 250 my way and a clean never been touched 95 civic dx. Its a auto with a bad block spun a bearing i guess. Sound like rocks in a coffe can being shaked. So i want to fix it up i dont mind that its auto my wife can drive it to. But i cant find a D series block on CL for sale for the life of me.
