stock they are slow. lost of rust issues (look hard at the unibody structure), the rear is a little too happy to slide out sometimes, and they do have lots of things that go wrong if they weren't CAREFULLY maintained

its still kinda boring and takes the skill out of things

they are, and much much much cheaper to build. the 300zx's have lots of vacuum leak issues, it the are tt, they usually have boost leaks and there is no room in the bay to really work on it

looks like im gonna be getting either a d16z6 block, or b18a/b ls block to start building up. future plans are to buy a shell of probably an eg and drop that **** in there. gonna go turbo! this will take time tho since i dont have money just to start dumping into it.

just dont know if i want to go with a straight LS, or an LS/vtec...whatever top end i get, i will have everything ported and polished and then block decked down a couple mil's for higher compression.
doooooood...stay sohc! build an n/a f22b1 and shock the world when you drop it in an eg!!!!!!

this is only an on the side type thing. i just have a problem with swap tho, heres why i never put a B series into my ef sedan.

-hasport/innovative mounts, at least $300
-custom hasport shift linkage, around $150

thats just a little too much money to spend.

i know for an EG, if i put in a B series ill just have to get mounts, no custom shift linkage cuz the siR2 eg came with a b16a

my ideal swap for an eg would be jdm h22 with h2b plate so i can use a gsr tranny.

You should probably go to a different sight to find those things out, like to a 240 web site

Kind of opinion I guess. But you can't really say anything till you have driven one either. From what I have heard the trannys in ferrari's and Lambo's are amazing. You get more power to the ground with one of these trannys also which = going faster in a shorter amount of time. This little video I watched about driving a Modena awhile back said they are so hard to drive on streets because there is so much power and they aren't built to go 5 miles an hour.

Im on the same boat, thinking about a master plan to build an engine or a car sucks when you have no money. Its almost like teasing yourself lol.
