ugggg... irritated - thought i fixed the oil pan, still 1 spot leaking right by the flywheel and im affraid if tighten the bolts any tighter, i'll snap them.

Sounds like it might just be the crank seal. Did you add Honda bond or some other silicone?

 

I used "the other kind." I crawled under the car before work today and found the rubber gasket completely blown out ! CRAPPY How much is the honda bond? I take it you get it from the dealer??

 

Yeah you get it from the dealer but it should be no more then 8 bucks.

 

now... can you get any other type of gasket besides the rubber ones? do they make the cork ones? what do ya think?

 

You can get the cork ones from Napa i believe. I like them way better anyways. When you get the gasket, put the handa bond on the bottom of the block and put the gasket on that so its all lined up with the pins on the block. Then you put the bond on the pan and install it.

Was looking at my car and wondering what I should do to it next... I asked myself questions like: should I paint it, should i go hoodless due to the huge dent in the middle, should I sell and get a DC (or try), should I put it up for trade, what to do? What to do?

Paint it... that would be perfect! I would love to do a type R white! It's too bad that can't any paint, but what I have in my garage (5 cans of flat black). I was almost thinking about going ghetto and do a cammo lol! I don't know...

go hoodless on a civic hatch may but not on a big *** CB7 with a crappy painted bay...

Bro.... I think its a cool car- but it is a project.... and projects just take time. But thats what I like about'em, you get to see the changes the car goes through. Give it time and the accord will be sick.

yeah that thing is trash!!! I'm done buying P.O.S. cars that last me only a month!!! I want to rebuild it badly, but I need a fuel pump for my wife's car... so it's being sold this week. Anybody have or know someone who is getting rid of a car for stupid cheap??? like close to free??
