Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 2
Hey guys, I just got a fix it ticket for my yonaka exhaust. Its been on for 3 years and I never had a problem. Should I wait until court date to contest it. I assume the cop thought I was going to a race meet, but I had my mom in the car.
Edit: I will just go get it tested at a ref center and show certificate.

Hi, im having temperature issues, just when the engine is at idle, it does no overheat but i can see the temp gauge going a little up just right before the middle od the gauge, and i have been noticed that ones radiator fan kicks on it works for more than 25 seconds wich i feel like a lot of time, how long is your radiator fan working once it turns on?

Nice. I used to go there for parts from time to time.
This job is the craziest, most stressful, intense, and hard thing that I've ever done. It's hard to love it right now because I'm way in over my head, but it will get better. I started my first Indycar last night and today was my first day of on track practice. I'm on overload of every kind right now.
Qualifying is tomorrow and then the Long Beach GP on Sunday.

Today is my day off and I'm catching up on life, then off to Barber at the crack of dawn on Thursday!

Civicprototype - did you have to do any trimming to fit that IC?
I'm putting parts together for a turbo setup and I have a HUGE FMIC that I think I would have to hack the bumper up to fit it.
Would much rather sell it or trade it for something a twinge smaller that doesnt require a bunch of modification...

Hey guys. I thing really new with my whip. Just ordered another set of wheels though lol but I'm kinda in a dilemma. I've been wanting to get window visors but I'm not really wanting to pay $250+ for brand new ones. Are buying the oem ones used even worth my time when it's still $140+ ish?
Or does anyone have any recommendations for ebay or others? I've been looking at wellvisors but Idk if anyone has them on here.

^ hmotorsonline.com has them for $150. They are pretty good to deal with and the parts are always clean.
Added a center console ash tray last week and also set the ignition timing with a light. The little D16Y7 has more powah now.
This week I will be replacing the RUCA's, ordered some Beck Arnley's off rockauto.com Made in Taiwan, probably same factory as skunk2, blox, hardrace and whatever other brand comes from there.

X2 for hmotors. Thats where I got mine from. The problem with buying used ones is they might be missing hardware/clips and they are almost impossible to find.

Finally got to drive the sedan around a little for its first time in California over the last day and a half, and that's it. I'm off to Indy tomorrow for most of the month, so it will be chilling at the shop safe and sound

Whats up 4dr thread peeps???
It's been a long time, my whack stock '99 Y7 LX with V2 intake, exedy racing clutch and light weight flywheel in a JDM EX tranny is kickin it, fun to drive etc.
It also is also on green integra nuespeed lowering springs w/ orange konis, for a little background, budget performance!! Front brake rotors are drilled and slotted, now I ordered these from an after market guy who said they were anodized, but they weren't, they were inexpensive and they looked cool before the rust came. The only good thing about them is the seem to have an antilock effect on braking, my ride didn't come with ABS
Paint is no bueno etc.
Any who, I live in California, I'm starting to research swaps and keep hearing a lot about JDM engines not getting bar'd or reffed for various reasons!!
So my question is this to any of you out there in 4dr heaven who might know, does the smog ref look at the serial number of the engine to get the year? Or does he/she look at the generation of engine model?
Thanks in advance to any answers and respect to the FD thread!!!

for instance, if I was going to put a b18 off a 98 GSR in my 99 civic..would they know the year of the GSR? Or would they look at that engine and say 'good' since the same engine was used through 01? Thanks

Check out the colors on this hatch. Would white wheels be too loud on a daily driver sedan?
I really like championship white but my current color is too dark, basically my paint job sucks so it needs one regardless, my current color is metallic grey like BMW color, but I really like the greys that Audi has been coming out with. I'm over metallics and flakes, not that paint really matters, it's what's inside that counts!!
I'm thinking Audi Avatar (light) Grey, with white powder coated machine faced wheels
I guess it's Aviator Grey
