Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 2
if ur 4dr is a 96-98 u need an EX harness. prolly have to extend some wires.
if u have a 99-00 use d em1 harness.
or wire up your own if ur good at that. there's writeups everywhere.
depending which ecu u will use, u might need a conversion harness to whatever obd u want.
of course u will need the em1 rear tranny bracket and motor mounts.

Thank you very much sir, your help is very much appreciated I plan on going obd1, do u know how much final speed charges to do a swap?

This^^^^^^^^^^^^
i took my lip back this morning and he is re-doing it for free. he tried blaming it on my car being so low....my response was, "paint shouldnt be flaking off like that after 1 week".....lets see how it comes out. im really diggin the idea of doing that bedliner spray on the lip. i know its not everybodys cup of tea but that will hold up pretty damn good

Quick question for those with an EJ8 (with VIN # that starts with a "J"). I've owned my sedan for a couple of years and my CV joint is toast. Looking at Autozone, they list two different half shafts:
"VIN starts with J". This is new (not reman).
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...6_0_4302_26322
And a regular reman. version.

Looks like the first one's shorter and # of splines are different. Any insight to this? I thought all 96-00 CV axles were the same (with exception of ABS).

Jayo, I think you should keep it colored matched your car look really good the way it sits. Either way it's your car it's whatever you like. Caddiman, I'm no body guy but they probably got lazy with the lip and didn't scuff the lip before they painted it, same thing happened to my buddy's wrx when they painted it they didn't scuff some parts and the paint started flaking. I did the black out tape around the chrome molding didn't come out too good around the curves near the back doors I got some fixing to do lol.
