Moose- Those welds look good for just learning. I've never tig'd myself, but can use the mig and arc pretty good.

That is DIRT cheap man. Is the motor trashed internally or what? Even if thats the case the intake manifold and tranny are worth the purchase and then flipping later if you decide not to do the build.

Im sure! I need to be putting mine in soon. Just need an alarm and my windows tinted before they are in the car. I dont want them faded or stolen so ill wait until i have those two things done. I am eager to see how low they sit in a 6th gen.

The bearings are shot on the crank, but like you said the trans other things are worth that. I was planning on doing a complete tear down and rebuild of it if I do decide to get it.

good idea two toes, I don't have to worry about theft really all that much, but I do have a 2 way paging alarm so I feel better heh. I need to do a kill switch somewhere nice and hidden too. You got... vision seats? or status? I can't remember lol.

EK, yea that's what I would do too rebuild the hole thing. I bought a D16y8 block for 60$ a while ago and just changed my mind so I traded it for my tail lights lol.

If I do turbo my D I'll just amass all the parts and then pull the motor again and do it all in 2-3 days lol. I would have to work non stop because my sedan is my DD lol. Good luck man

Would easily be worth it then if thats all it needs and the head/valvetrain are all good. Could always do them at a later time if funds are tight and you just do the bottom to get it going. I've always been a fan of a boosted D.

All good. I have Status Ring seats. Ive also decided to have the rear seats re-covered in Status cloth material to match the fronts. You can purchase it from them directly and its fairly affordable. I also have a hook-up here on getting the actual work done on the seats. Total will cost me about the same as DB8's would and will just be something unique. Not that DB8's are bad, but since i can do something different id kind of like to.

Everything else on the motor is good just the bearings. I may go get it next week and start tearing it apart.

nah. there is a set here in socal but its too much. and not worth the asking price imho.
i am not willing to spend more than 1k for front and rear OEM seats.
i dont care how rare they are. im happy with the SiR interior in my DAP.

lenny got his for a bangin deal shipped from malaysia iirc.

Thanks Lawrence Going back tomorrow to practice the stick welding on aluminum I can't wait till we get our machine at home so I can get bored and play around on it.

It's amazing how something so tedious is so much fun lol.

Port question about your rear spoiler. Did it come with a drilling template for the trunk? TIA.

Not to my knowledge unless I missed it. It does have the slight ramp up towards the rear of the trunk so it kinda sits nice or wobbles if it's off. I wish I could remember it's been so friggin long now. I had to buy a trunk spring removal tool to replace the trunk springs since the trunk will be heavier. The spoiler comes with the springs but I recommend getting the Honda tool to remove the spring. I tried to remove my springs once without the tool and it is easy to over extend them and make them weak. After I put my springs back on my trunk wouldn't open anymore and just kinda bounce.
