Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 2
Looking good guys
Mugen boy, love the RNR's I fell in love with them when I saw a pic of them in honda tuning a long time ago. Simple, yet stylish can't beat them.
Anyway, getting a kill switch tonight, my dad had one left over at the hot rod shop so he said I can have it, now just gotta get a couple eye lets, crimp em on and make a nice little trunk mount for the switch. I'm putting it in the trunk because it makes sense... 1. I dont wanna buy more wiring. 2. Thieves can't get to it as easy as if it was in the cab, horray valet locking trunks and 3. Who wants a big switch in the middle of there interior lol

moose, don't forget the 80 amp min. fuse! and remember to tin the wire and connector before you crimp, then seat the solder with a iron after its crimped .
*****, it was di2ferio. but he recently sold it to Battle. i think they just bolted em onto the underside of the spare wheel well with self tapping screws. there's not much to grab hold of under there. i'm sure almost any diffuser can be made to fit.

Thanks port for the tips, I'll make sure to do all that, the fuse will come when I get some spare cash lol.
gah speaking of re-wrapping and interior and what not... My door panels are going to ***, time to rip them out and re-do them. This time I'm going to just tape the panels off, then cut out a rectangular piece of suede and do it that way, seems to be easier than a template. Well, off to class all.

Do you guys have a favorite style of shift **** that feels good in your hands? For example, skunk2/itr style, mugen ***** style, T1R ball style, spood duracon, etc. I am drawing up blueprints to make a mugen ***** one in class dispite everyone hating it, but its only going to take me 30 mins and so I need something else to try
I already have a Skunk 2 weighted and a T1R ball type, which both feel nice but I want to try others.

I like the OEM shape but one made out of aluminum would be really sweet. favorite shape though is the t1r ball one lol.

TW: Do you have another view? It looks like an ITR style, but its hard to tell from that angle.
I honestly didn't know anyone liked the oem civic ones lol. I really want to make one out of brass bc I love the finish, but im not sure if he will let me bc of how expensive it is. As I finish these, ill be sure to post them up so you guys can see my handiwork.

Gah, winters definitely on it's way here.... rain and cold.. I really need to weld up my trunk and hood. Hopefully this weekend I'll at least get them closed up. Leaks are never good

both of those cars are so friggin awesome! love it. i love SS spoilers and hoods... and rims... and motors... i love SS's!
after having the spoon aluminum **** i can safely say i prefer the OEM rubber one the car came with. rubber is king in this department since it's not affected by heat transfer from the shift linkage, my .02.
