youve got nothing to lose really- just make sure you do them OFF the car in a low dirt/dust environment and you do it in a shaded area/controlled temperature.. it should come out fine.

i rattle canned mine. twice.
first time, i just shot base coat and after a month or so, it started chipping like crazy.
second time, i used adhesion promotor, base and then clear. ****`s holding up great. no chipping, no fading, and for a rattle can job, it glosses nicely. adhesion promotor and clear is key
it`s been over a year now and it`s still looks great

I also prefer EJ8s that have the side skirts painted and a rear lip so that everything is symmetrical..
but again.. thats just me..
</TD></TR></TABLE>
i did the same 'styling effects' on both my EJ8s.. i did my best to make it symmetrical.. because im weird and **** about stuff like that...and i found that the CTR front and rear lips were the best fit...
if youre worried about doing the side skirts yourself, you can always go to maaco. they did mine. they can paint a front and/or rear lip for you too.. and you can do it up

i used 2 cans per skirt. and the more clear, the better the shine/gloss. i`d do 3 cans per skirt to be safe.

that sounds like overkill....
i read the post above about adhesion promotor- and that needs to be used with ALL plastics..
plastic is fussy.. it doesnt paint well unless its prepped 110%
like i said, maaco is always an option too. they will prob shoot 2 side skirts and a front and rear lip for 100 bucks.

yeah, adhesion promotor
2 cans was just enough to put enough color on each skirt.

Go to the Maaco in Hamden (dixwell ave), ask for Danny. Tell him I sent you. He will treat you right.
