Anybody need an Air Intake Tube?

Anybody need an Air Intake Tube?
I have a 2000 Civic EX (D16yY8) with VTEC. I tore the Air Intake Tube almost in half when removing it before
smoking the IM to find a vacuum leak and ordered up a used one (Honda discontinued the part) from
Beaver's Car Salvage in North Carolina (a great place!).
Here's what my air tube looks like with electrical tape to bind up the tear:
Notice that it has three ports on the side.
Using my VIN, I looked up the part number in www.hondaautomotiveparts.com under Electrical/Exhaust/Heater/Fuel,
Air Cleaner (VTEC) so we were talking the same part 17228-P2P-A00 , they had one and shipped it to me.
When it arrived it wasn't the same!
Here's what arrived:
It's only got two ports!
Beaver's Car Salvage was as surprised as me, asked me to send them a picture, they rooted around and
found one that looked like mine and sent it to me for no additional charge. Here it is:
Anybody know what this is about? The third port has a hose that goes to a valve like thing and then
on to the top edge of the IM where it bolts to the head.
So... I've got a 2 port air tube with an IAT sensor attached that I don't need. Anybody interested?
No charge just the cost of shipping.
Thanks to everyone who has helped me on this forum and I hope someone can use this part.

Re: Anybody need an Air Intake Tube? Free
Thanks, Ryanthegreat1.
Wish I'd checked it out when I had the IM off to get to the breather box and replace
the PCV valve and o-ring. I'm learning as I go.
Also, I forgot to ask this question:
Anybody know what the function of the big black tube mounted on the top of the air tube is?
I was surprised to find it was just empty space inside when I removed the clamp and took it off.
I'd been told it had a filter inside that should be changed but nope.
It's called a Side Branch Tube P/N 17281-P2J-000 in the Honda Parts diagrams.
Thanks guys,
CaseyAtTheBat
