i just installed a zex dry kit and it seems that it has a mind of its own. i followed the directions and it works when the ignition is on but the car is not. i am guessing that means that the tps sensor wire is on correctly, but when i turn the car on and flip the switch and on WOT it doesnt spray???!! any advice is truely appreciated.

 

You just need to reset the nmu (zex box). If i remember correctly you just hold the little black button on the side of the box (itll turn red i think). then with the key to on mash the gas. It should blink red-green. then just restart car and try again.

well i tried that and it didnt work. i tested my tps sensor and it read the correct voltage when the car was off but when it was on it didnt read all the way. it read the voltage at 3.5. thanx for the advice.

 

try it again, I had the same problem and I just was'nt doing the steps correctly/and had the wrong wire, out of the three wires it should be the one in the center, I don't remember the color.

first turn the ignition to the on position, but DO NOT start the car(make sure your bottle is off) turn the switch in the car on. push the black button on the control box, it should be red. push the gas pedal all the way for at least ten seconds, it will be flashing from red to green to off, turn the switch in the car off then on, it should be green. now test it by pushing the gas pedal all the way, you should hear a clicking sound. this should work, if you still can't get it try calling the ZEX tech support. good luck

I had that problem once and not to sound like a jerk but make sure your bottle pressure is up. If that bottle is cold you may not have enough pressure or nitrous left for you to feel it. Just a thought.
