Default Zeitronix Stock Map sensor as Boost sensor...?

I know in some of the zeitronix threads in the archives there was a reference to using the STOCK MAP sensor signal as the User Defined 1 so that you can use it to measure boost level while datalogging. I know some of the guys on here have figured out how to do it.

Anyone mind posting what they have done or know what to do...

Usually you take the voltage and compare it to boost.

But to read as boost level, hmm, any ideas?

im using the zeitronix 3.5bar map sensor (exact same as the AEM) as my main map sensor.

you need the proper ECU tuning to get it to work properly.......once you have that all sorted out then your good to go.....

i use uberdata and have no trouble tuning and datalogging with uberdata and the zeitronix datalogging software at the same time......

I beleive Uberdata still dont support the Zeitronix WB fully yet correct?

Im little condfused, you can use the zeitronix sensor as a map sensor? >_<

yea , technicly its a 3.5bar map sensor . thats what the zeitronix is programed to read , but that reads in the boost portion on the DL.

if you hook up the stock honda map to the boost input the scales are way off and it will never read correctly .

but i to am curious to know if the zeitronix sensor can be used as a MAP for the honda ecu (with uber and crome of course to re scale it)

Look you can use the zeitronix sensor as the MAP for the honda ECU. Its the same as any other 3.5bar map sensor.

My question is can you use your "STOCK" map sensor and then using Zeitronix and converting it to the "CORRECT" pressure. I already know that if you use the STOCK Map sensor as the "BOOST" sensor it will be wrong because the Zeitronix will convert it with the 3.5bar sensor in mind, but if you were to use that as input for the USER Data 1... Are you able to convert it to psi rather than just read it as voltage? If you have done it let me know and post it up please.

Yes, my thought exactly. Any info would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if i totally understand your question or why you want to do it.

if you hook up the stock map sensor output to the user1 input on the zeitronix you will get map sensor voltage displayed....

if your trying to tune off map voltage you will be trying to tune for a long long time and you still wont get it right unless your really good at it....

I would be tuning off of the MAP sensor voltage because theoritcally if there is a linear relationship between teh MAP sensor voltage and ACTUAL PSI then I would be able to use that info to adjust certain boxes in uberdata, crome etc. Its simply another form of datalogging. From what others have been saying the Zeitronix software is much better than UD or Crome in datalogging data... Anyone?

been there done that...........buy the zeitronix boost sensor and be done with it.......

your going to spend a **** load of time trying to read sensor voltage on the zeitronix datalog screen and trying to cross reference it to a fuel map on hondata/uberdata/crome etc.....

it will drive you insane.....trust me....just buy the sensor.

It would be damn useful if the data from the zeitronix can be converted to a table... Hm...

I dunno Im about to try out Freelog since its pretty sweet and crome freeware for now... As soon as I figure if my Ostrich is working I'll be moving on up to Crome Pro but well see....

But back to my question, anyone done this???

Looks like I will have to order the damn boost sensor then. Lol. Err.

Ive been tuning with the map voltage all this time. -=\ only way I can do it

I dont know if the zeitronix is BETTER than UD/Crome. It is nice because of the visual display thats for sure. I used a zeitronix setup to tune my last car, and am using crome atm. I have sold the zeitronix for autometer and plx.

You can "export to tables" after you have saved a datalog session, or you can save it as tables immediately IIRC. Its virtually useless since you cannot have a low number of accurate samples. It's only good for one gear pull at a time, or for "auto tuning" which Crome will do for you.

I see no clear advantage to the Zeitronix datalogging vs Crome.
