A SOHC ZC is basically any U.S. D16 SOHC Non-vtec
As for advantages and disadvantages: a DC advantage is the head obviously. As for the blocks there virtually identical except for one damn head bolt hole. I found out the hard way, long story, don't wanna bogart ur thread. And i belive for a turbo'd car the DC is a better head cause it flows better. i"m almost done with my ZC build, i'll let you know how it turns out

Re: ZC turbo question (turboZChatch)
I'm using the Y8 Manifold on a mildly ported Z6 head. It should outflow the DC head but I still woln't be able to adjust my cam as well as the DC.
I was at the track a while back when I saw this guy with a turbo CRX ZC I asked him what it was and he said it's basically A D-series motor, I was like WTF? he said he swapped a DOHC ZC head onto his Z6 bottom end. there are plenty of things you can do, cheply too!
I would say use a DOHC head, better for tuning.

Re: ZC turbo question
yea ive pretty much decided the dohc would be easier after like five minutes of researching other ppls turboed ZCs, now im just trying to find out the power ratings and 1/4 mile times i could be hitting with either the T-25 or the 14b turbo. (cause im planning on makeing a 'homemade' turbo)
