all oil additives I've seen are cheap fixes. they raise compression by just being thick, thick sludge and filling the gap between the worn rings and cylinder walls...I don't know how an oil could stop knock, except lowering friction and lowering cylinder temps because of that.

I know that Bullish Racing highly, highly recommends Prolong. They use it in all their racecars and put it in all of their customers cars. I've never used it....
