Yeah A Nitrous Question.......
I know nitrous doesnt get much love on this website but i have a question for anyone that has some n2o knowledge. I learned that with an ems you can set your boost at different levels for each gear to aid in traction. I was wondering, is there an equivalent for n20. My goal is 1st-10 shot(dont know if they go that low), 2nd-20 shot, 3rd- 40 shot, 4th and maybe 5th-75. I feel this would work much better then just one or two stages. Do they make jets that can accomplish this, or should i be looking in other areas.
they sell a nitrous progressive controller. But you could spray a 75 shot on 2nd gear. and your not going to feel anything on a 10 or 20 or 30 shot. I wouldn't buy the nitrous progressive controller unless you had atleast a 150 shot. Because on a low shot your almost always going to have traction except for 1st gear.
Its called "traction" control on most systems (AEM, Hondata) I believe you program fixed times(speed.rpm,TP,gear) to when you want the n2o to fire, how much and for how long. Check out http://www.hondata.com for a more indepth look and if you wanna buy one I know a authorized dealer w/ a dyno as well.

A piggy back won't help you here.

dood just run the 75 shot throughout all gears and get some good tires for grip... seriously a 10 20 30 shot.... you wont feel much. imo at least a 50shot would be reasonable for some good noticeable power. in my jr days... i used nos and it was pretty fun. ran a 80 shot to a b16 all day and it ran great... so you would def. be ok with 75 throughout imo.
Yeah a 75 shot in all gears would be great. But honestly i dont see myself ever spraying in first or second gear if its that much. Just doesnt seem safe on my engine. Im not really going for an all out N20 car quite yet. Im going for more of an N20 enhanced NA car. I want the nitrous to step up each gear as my acceleration drops. The b16 you ran a 80 shot to, was it on stock internals. In ur opinion what would a d17 hold up to, and last. You dont think 75 is a bit much. I am soon going to install a wet 40 shot.
So a piggyback is a waste?

no need for a piggyback really. just gotta get some good plugs, wires, and retard the timing for that kinda shot. my b16 w/ 80 shot was with stock internals.. and it was fine. not sure about the d17, but for a stock single cam, id go with a 60shot.. and go from there. id also recomend a good tune with spray to be safe. n2o is some funny stuff to play with.
