Default y7block with y8 head on boost?

I recently bough a y8 vtec head and i want to swap it onto my y7 block but i was told that compression was going to be bump up to around 9.9:1...what do i have to do to keep the same compression ratio of a regular d16y8(ex) of9.6:1... and i wanna boost so i dunno what compression pistons to get? thanks need reponds asap

Thicker headgasket, but it's fine to boost on 9.9:1 if you have it tuned properly. I run slightly over 10:1.

Just run it that way. I ran 15 psi with that setup. No issues.

o thats cool...but im going to build the bottom end but now i dont know what pistons to get...for example if i get srp 9.0:1 pistons for a y7 would the compression still be the same after i put the y8 head...like is it only the head gasket that bumps up the compression on the mini me swap?
