XTD Clutch concerns
I have an XTD 6 puck Clutch. Guy I bought it off claims its a stage 5, good for 300lbs/tq.
Its for my D16Y7/Z6 turbo build, 270whp daily (stiff clutch i know).
Its got about 25 to 30 thou before it touches the rivets, the metal surface. I believe when brand new it couldnt by much thicker than this anyways...
Still a good clutch for my application you figure? I cant find any specs on it, or the thickness it would be brand new.

surprisingly that thing looks good...usually those ceramic puck type clutches fall/chip/flake apart after a few thousand miles....not extremely DD friendly especially that non sprung type of disk.
like the others said...its a good bang for the buck clutch....just don't go freaking out and crying when it eventually does fail since it's a cheap clutch to begin with.

I ran a few with no problems. I also ran a few that took a **** after about 1000 miles on a stock ls. The main problem I had was the metal around the spring shearing off and the springs coming out. The car was not beat on or anything. I was breaking in the engine in preparation for the turbo kit.
Thanks for all the input guys, but really my question was, theres about 25-30 thou left on the disc before its down to the metal rivets...
Is this thing worn as **** or is it just like this? I assume its just like this, I figure it wouldnt be much thicker brand new.....
