Maybe send a PM to this guy, he should know how it is. But from what i heard it's not too stiff for a DD.

That was a helpful comment. I ordered the stage 2 based on the claim in the item description that it would take up to 260 tq. If the stage 3 started slipping after 330 whp (and 260 tq, according to your sig), it sounds like the stage 2 wouldn't give my setup much room to grow.

Seriously you should be happy and thankfull that they sent you the 6 puck. The full face is kind of a joke in a way. Its something I would put in a car with basic bolt ons or stock. I would NOT trust it behind a turbo. The 6 puck is more suitable for a boosted setup and even then they don't reccomend it for boost. They have a stage 4 they actually say is the one you should use for boost.

As for driveability, I use the 6 puck XTD and I say its awesome. Its NOTHING like the 6 puck's you get from ACT. Trust me. I've driven those and they are like an on/off switch. Its not pleasant. The XTD is very forgiving and easy to drive on the street. The material on the disc won't destroy your PP or flywheel either like the ACT's do.

I ran a stage 4 PP with stage 3 disk(6 puck sprung) cause It's my daily driver.
May be I shouldn't have done that, anyway, here how it was running.

Once break-up, it hold boost pretty well even at 15psi ~350whp with slick at the drag. It never slip at all.

Brake pedal was heavy but I was ready for that in a stage 4

But engagement was really strange, sometimes the clutch was high and begin to grip slowly, sometimes the clutch was low and start to grip hard at once.

I pull the clutch out at 15k km and the disk was still perfect even after sliping it on start at the drag, the PP was ok too.

My advice, go with the stage 3 I only heard good thing about it, if you need more then go with known brand.

No problem
before i bought it i did some research and found that the disks sucked but the pucks were decent... for what you pay
i would tell anyone (up to ~300whp) to get the stage 3 if there thinking about going with the xtd.

i used the stage 4 - 4 puck sprung on my Turbo LS on 9psi DD, anyone who drove my car including my mom swore up and down it was a stock clutch. as a side note i also had a Findanza 7.5lb flywheel with this setup. worked great i loved it alot. i'm really thinking about getting one for my TSX now.

they work great for low torque applications.

i had an xtd "stage 3" installed on a fresh flywheel, slipped at 140wtq.

went comp clutch and never looked back. oh and the comp clutch was just over $300, not bad at all.

I had a stage 3,

it started to slip RIGHT around 270 wtq,

which is pretty bang on in terms of the ebay description.

but they dont take heat well, spinning slicks on the track then running is a no-go, it just slips with any kind of heat.

for a street car, stock motor, they work real good.

ran an xtd ceramic metallic on my turbo D @ 220whp for about 6mo; no problems, slight jerkiness but thats the nature w/ ceramic metallic clutches. when the motor died the clutch had hardly any wear on it

running the same clutch (but for B series obviosly) on my built ls/vtec setup now; clutch is a bit jerkier than my D but holds good and even w/ a cable clutch its not too heavy

The XTD kinda suck. if you really want to save money and want a pretty decent clutch pick up an F1 stage 4 sprung disc. i have this on my car now for over 20k miles and it still bags gears. It will no longer hold 3rd gear burnouts but it doesnt slip at all in driveing conditions and i drive hard

I had the xtd stage 4 unsprung... one trip to the track after 2months the xtd pressure plate cracked causing damage to clutch and flywheel... now i have the stage 3 with 9lb fidanza flywheel and no problems yet but its only been a month

they say hudry and cable clutches are different but ive run both in both style trannys without a problem. if its a 90-91 cable then its different but if its 92-93 cable then it shouldnt matter. BUT its always best to order it for the correct year just to be sure
