Re: xs power camshaft
XS-Power is reliable if you get a cast iron exhaust manifold and don't turn the boost up high...they are the most bang for your buck..the average price for a turbo kit from there is like 450, how can you complain?...I'd give them a try.

Re: xs power camshaft
I would never put xs power products inside my motor......External parts you can fix mostley, but think if anything goes wrong inside, bad things can happen to your motor

Any your basis for this opinion is?
Considering Crower Cams have been known to break along with Blox's, I am sure the quality and dedication that XS and SSAC puts into their products will naturally be embedded into their cams...... what do they cost let me guess $299 new?

Re: xs power camshaft
Risky imo. Over here in the UK XS Power are covering their manifolds with ceramic coatings now (prob to hide the poor quality metal)
I used an XS Power 'kit' and ended up like many others replacing every part! Lucky my engine was built with good parts though.
My motto is usually don't knock it til you've rocked it but where internals are concerned i think it could end up being a costly lesson.

Re: xs power camshaft
even with the theoretical 1000, if they were to break it would wreak havoc on the head. more than likely making the head a door stop.
with the power being made on stock cams, and the power from the skunk cams over the ctr's, thats not enough to sway me towards xs cams.
and i have to agree with their past track record, of unreliable service, i wouldnt put them in my engine.
the op asked us for opinions, we gave them. if you dont agree with them, so be it, crack a beer and relax.
and i was just thinking, if they did break and hung a valve open, thats gonna far exceed 1000 to repair.
not saying i wouldnt like to see it if it did happen.
