just a bypass valve built into the compressor cover. there are others like it, the volvo one is really common

Seriously though, bypass=excess pressure relief?

 

bypass, as in a blow off valve that dumps back into the intake. It's for cars that measure the air before the turbo like MAF or Karmen. Your mom is hot btw.

 

i have a K26 and my housing looks a lot different than that...what's that off of??

The new turbo Saturn sky is like that too...it has a similar setup

 

anybody wants the whole turbo I'll sell it for 70 bucks hehe
