Default WRX turbo

Hi
I have a 95 civic dx, and im looking to turbo it. I was looking at the 14b, or the the one out of the subaru wrx(13T) i think. Im not sure on which one to go with, will the WRX one even work on my car, like would it be too big? Any help would be appreciated.

The wrx isn't big at all. I use it on my d16y8 and it works great

One more question, I didnt want to start a new topic.
This may seem like a dumb question, but im new to all this stuff. When dealing with the charge pipes, do i have to weld them together, or can i use those silicone pipe clamps?

You can do both. I use a combination of both.

the 14b is an excellent turbo.
it can outlimit your stock block no problem.

Well I couldn't exactly have only welds because i couldn't fit the pipes in the car then. I Welded some bends together and on other parts I had to use couplers.

dont resort to couplers instead of welds, its not a good idea, plus it may actually end up costing you more. silicone couplers run about 4-5 bucks a peice. just get your pipes fitted nicely and take them to a muffler shop and have them weld them together. plus when it comes to charge pipes you need a bead roled around the ends anyways so they dont blow off, so just have them welded together and have them role a bead on the end at the same time, it will work better and also look wayyyyyyyyyy better too. and if you can't get them welded at a shop, you can always resort to JB weld

Yea go with welds. Its much cleaner than using all couplers

yeah. couplers are way expensive. Any muffler shop should be able to weld them? Should I specifically ask for a role bead? Thanks guys
EDIT: Do i need any electronic/wiring done out side of spark plugs and wires?

make one. The same way you are going to make you Intercooler pipes. Just buy 2 3" ubends and then mark where you cut them by visually looking. Cut them with a Sawzall and then test fit by holding it. Keep cutting until you have it just right. then take it to a local muffler shop (mom and pop type not meinke cause they won't do it) and have them weld it along with your IC pipes

I gotta do a writeup on this, to many people ask how

please go to homemadeturbo.com and reasearch up more on this before you ask basic questions.

Up in the right hand corner is a "search" function, give it a try, don't be afraid. Don't forget to click on archive to search older posts.

Please don't take this a rude, I followed my suggestions and learned almost everything I needed to know WITHOUT making posts, just searching the topics that others have covered before me.
