Default wrist pin lock question

I just got my je pistons and crower rods... but after looking threw all the boxes there seems to be no wrist pin locks.. So wherecan I get a set of locks or what do I need to do? also my pistons came with total seal rings. Should I ditch them or have you guys had good luck with them on sohc motors? any comments are appreciated

Do a lot of people use those locks? I've never really heard about them till the other day. . .

Hastings makes some good rings as well...just make sure you get the high tension ones. Id ditch the total seal units.

OT: Sorry to chime in here, but what's the deal with the total seal rings. Just curious as to why everyone steers away from them. I used the rings that came with mine (Endyn's). I thought wrist pin locks were kind of essential.

These are the rings that came with my pistons. But everyone that I have talked to said they were shitty and dont seal. And I dont want to have to tear my motor down after a week beacause the rings did not seal. I helped a friend do that to his motor it was just stupid. But I didnt get the locks, so I need some. Hope fully I can find some around my home area.

i know a couple guys who used total seal rings and they hated them. their cars smoked more than you would believe. just run the je rings or whatever else you can find. and yeah spiros are essential, in fact je's come with double spiros for extra safety.

Hey man, I'm here in portland, too. I used to work at a part's store here, Thrifty, and they sold Hastings. Really some pretty good stuff. I'd call them to get some prices, they are honestly the cheapest by-far for some stuff. Tell them "I'm a preferred customer, but I lost my card" and that should knock another 5-10% off
