We can only hope, but AWD wouldn't be bad either.

This would be nice.

I wouldn't do it again as I have already done it, I am after something else. To me you have to want a project really because thats what most turbo hondas are, there never finished always taking up your time and money. The money need not be huge, but I doubt you will be able to keep to that stock boost level for long at all. But when compared to N/A mods boost owns.
A moderately boosted honda is not gonna be that fast compared to alot of other cars on the road. But I definately think that the process of researching, learning, and building a turbo honda is really rewarding. I was skeptical/scared before I turboed my car, but ever since Ive always been happy with my decision.
To be honest.....I had a Greddy Kit 2 summers ago (roughly $4000 invested between kit/minor motor parts) and sold everything so I could move out on my own and get some things for the apartment, and within 4 months of being on my own I started piecing together a custom kit because I missed the feeling of boost so bad. I look at where I started and what level I have taken the car to. I have roughly $12K invested in the car with the new build ($26K if you include the car), and I don't regret it for one minute. What is basically comes down to though is how "dedicated" you are to the import scene. I have seen a bunch of people come into the game, do a turbo build, beat a few cars, then drop out of it cold turkey just to say that they had a boosted Honda and beat blah blah blah. To be honest, those whom know me in DFW or well enough on HT, would think that if anyone should have given up by now it should be me considering the shitty luck I have had when it comes to motors in the past year. Cliff notes is that I have been through 5 motors in 10 months, but I am still on truckin. That's just my .02.....

Now that is some dedication...good on ya!!

I would do it again in a hearbeat!
Of course, I only spent about $1200 on my set up and pieced together the turbo kit myself...
I have yet to get 10k into an engine... I'm sure that's coming in a matter of time...
I have to drive 45 min to and from work every day and boost makes it soo much more fun!

I would definitly do my first car again. >95 LS integra daily driver w/ stock B18B, basic turbo kit & hondata. Ran fast and reliable.
As for my new car, I havn't decided yet. I am spending about 3 times as much on mods as compared to my old car. Basically I felt like I had unfinished business when I lost my old car and I told myself I wouldn't give up until I accomplish my goals. I guess when I get there I can decide if I'd do it again!

i have about 5 in the turbo system including tuning fees. the next step is to build the block and head, but i don't think i could ever drive another honda unless it was boosted
thanks for getting me hooked mike lol

I got about 6 in parts probably and i'd do it all over again.
if you sell your parts individually you can get ~70% of your money back.
Heres how i think of it, you could sell your 7k car and get a 14k car (say go from 97 integra to '03 RSX), and have a slightly cooler car for 7k, or you could have a pimpin *** 97 integra making mad power thats way cooler, and actually holds its value better (debatedly).

haha for real, you are outta control w/ the dedication! I know what you've given up to keep going and it is more then just a few motors. I think once you get a reliable motor program in there everything will come together for you.

Once I get a solid motor setup and tune, people better watch out because the B16 will be coming to getcha!!!

well in my opinion if you like to drive your car then that would only make things better because then you would love to drive it as long as you dont have any problems
I would do it again, but differently ofcourse. I was 29 when my project started, now I'm 34, I have the knowledge and funding now to make things happen a little differently. I wouldn't trade the learning experience for anything though.

That's kinda the only thing I regret, is the platform that I used. I love my turbo integra, but theft is such a problem, I couldn't even eat dinner at a resturante last nite w/o getting up 5 times to check on my car.
I know all people with mods on their car will have theft problems, but honda's are just horrible.
Also, I realllly want a supra, and probally coulda had one if I saved the amount I've spent on my car. But that also means I would have been car-less until now.
Alsooo, people say it's a horrible investment, but it's the joy we get out of it. If I was 25-30, maybe I would have spent my money a little differently, but I got my car at 16, and I've been puttin money into it since then. . .(I'm 18 now)
It kills me, I work my *** off, and still want to go out and enjoy myself, but I keep spending more and more money on my car! Ohh well, maybe when I hit 600whp in the spring I'll be happy

The theft thing is what really bugged me too. Which is why I sold the EK, and slapped my B16 into an EF sedan with a black intercooler.
I sometimes stop and think about how much money I have into it, then I just go for a drive a realize how much fun it is and that it really isn't THAT much money I have into it

I dont regret it, I woulc have done things differently if i could do it again.

Good replies everyone! I definately love people sharing their experiences!
I do have to agree about the fwd being a limiting factor though. A lot of my buddies here have gotten into the awd performance with WRX's and EVO's and such. Having that traction downlow is pretty nice, but my friends B18C1 Turbo hatchback almost feels as fast, even when its spinning through first and second! I guess maybe because it has a more raw feeling to it.
I don't really know what other good platform there is on the market right now to buy for around 25-26k.... If I weren't to build my Si.
