would i need a re-tune on hondata with new mani.....
I recently cracked my spark racing ss autochrome mani( worst product ever built) and purchased a inline pro manifold. the rest of my setup is still the same 8.7 psi tuned on hondata. My car just doesnt feel like it pulls near as hard as it used to. also i dont hear vtec cross over like i used to with the other mani. just trying to see how much difference a new mani changes a tune?

they probably flow different, which should affect ur spool up. since that will affect ur rpm at different boost levels, i'd say it'd be best to get it re-tuned.

I 2nd that, whenever you change something on your engine or of relation to how it makes its power, it is best to get your motor retuned. Our car's do not come boosted from the factory, thus the ecu does not know how to compensate such changes. Atleast thats how I see it, correct me if I am wrong. Regardless, if you change your exhaust setup, manifold, cat, intercooler, injectors, or anything else of that sort, a re-tune is in order for best and in some cases safer results.

Re: would i need a re-tune on hondata with new mani..... (Sohc Driver)
thanks any reason why vtec would be quieter. the spark one was equal length but the inline pro looks like it would still flow better. I just dont think my car is running right. i put down 260 whp with 190 flbs @ 8.7 psi i changed the mani and then ran at the track and witha 2.1 60 ft i ran 13.8 @ 101 i just think my car should be a little faster than that! or is that about what i should run?
