Default would this compensate the integrity of my manifold?

Its an SFP 1st gen manifold.
The wg runner is not in the most optimal location.
I want to close the flange where the WG is right now...#1 cyl runner
And put a new flange dead center of manifold.....middle of all runners.
Can this be done without losing structural integrity of the metal?
Anyone done this before?
Im trying to put a new tial 40mm wastegate.

That is all going to depend on the quality of the welding you have done. Make sure everything is tig welded by a professional and i would also recommend putting a small support bracket from the pipe going to the wastegate to a sturdy place on the manifold...to prevent vibration induced cracks.
