Default Working on my new manifold.

I saw here that more of you do a lot of things by your self. So I decide to do something by my self too. I have JDM H22 at my mechanic and this engine goes to EG hatch. Engine will be with the 11.5 compr. JE pistons. But I decaide to built for turbo in future. Not jet. In that case I start buil turbo manifold. I have good workshop, where I can do a lot of thinks with steel. I do not do that before this is my first. What do you think. So here is some pics. It is not finished.

Boosting w/ 11.5:1 compression? You've got some ballz!! Nice looking manifold though!

how thick is the metal? Thats is going to make or break (literally) your manifold.

321 stiainless, VERY strong and resistant to heat

only thing im worried might be, turbo placement to low?

I'm yust beginer. This car must run before. So, only after finishing my project. I can sell to somebody something. I must to give the waranity for costumer. We all want waranitys.

The turbo is T3 Garret from Mercedes Truck Turbo Diesel. I have friend in local Turbo center he give me this turbo for only 180$. For the star for me it is OK.

I was thinking too, is this manifold to low. But there is posibilitie to change that a little bit higher.

I will use the Greddy E-manege, because don't have money for AEM or different manegment systems.

That looks really good actually. Depending on how the welds turn out that could be one of the best first-try manifold operations I've seen . Take some action pics if you get a chance - I've always been curious as to how exactly one welds the individual runners to the collector on a 4-1 merge collector. I'd like to hear from other fabricators on that question too. Obviously it is possible, but only with a TIG welder perhaps??? I just can't see a MIG tip fitting in the center of the four runners to weld the inner portion of the runner->collector butt joint. Nice work either way

i wouldnt be surprised if he used an online translator, and we all know how shitty those are, be nice guys...

Yes sometimes I use translation soft help.

This manifold not welded yet, but it will be welded with MIG using Argon gas. But in building proces I use TIG-WIG welding. The ticknes of tube wall 2 mm. The join part ticknes 12 mm
