Wiseco pistons for 9.0CR good for 500hp on b16a ?
At first my plan was to take Arias pistons with 8.0cr for a 500hp(maybe more) setup on a b16a.
Unfortunatly they are not available in the moment.
Now I thougt about taking Wiseco with 9.0cr. Is this a good or bad idea?
Thanks for your help.

its not going about 9:1 Pistons, i mean <9:1 Pistons (8:1 i.e.)
you can buy 9:1s on every corner thats not the problem and not 75% of the forum are running 20-25psi and making 500+WHP
so for the most 9:1 is great, but for 500+WHP i think its a bit high and i find it is very difficult to find pistons with a lower cr then 9:1... if you know a source, please let us know...
Thanks

Your "User Biography"
2001 ITRT 2.0Liter V8 Eater
JE 9.3:1 Forged Pistons
It's not hard but you're not using it yourself.

What does my set up have to do with it. Mine were prob 9:1, but the prev owner told me it was prob a tad more becuase they were custom jobs. not off the shelf. It still doesnt mean they arent out there. BTW Smart ***. . . This wasnt my only block
9:1 is not high for 500whp , trust me. there are people runnig alot higher. The compression just has to do with how you wanna make your power. Pump gas or Race gas.
This is how hard they are to find

Re: Wiseco pistons for 9.0CR good for 500hp on b16a ? (newgsr)
For my own intention, 9:1 seems to be very high for 500hp. Here in Germany, we just can get pump gas and no chance for race gas.
I know the companys above in this thread, and made contact befor. The only company that could provide us with pistons for lower!! than 9:1 was Arias.
But Arias Pistons can not be delivered in the moment. This is the problem.
If anybody knows a source for lower than 9:1, please let us know.
I think I´ll give Arias a call :-)

98 Octane in germany are not 98 Octane on USA... i think its aprox. -4 points, so 98 German Octane are something about 94 Octane in the USA if i'am right...
maybe it will work with 9:1 but the kit must also be reliable ;-) thats out main goal and i think thats easier with 8:1 then with 9:1 ...

You think or you know?
Any company can make 8:1 pistons. They mor then likely will not be ff the shelf so you will need to wait for them.
