both are good. aslong as you arent going over 600whp, shelf wiseco's would be the way i'd go

I'm partial to CP's personally. But the wind seems to be swaying towards the Wiseco. Either will be fine for you.

I run Wiseco's too but I am tearing my motor down to run CP's before I turn up the boost, are you running the regular wrist pins?

2 very notable tuners have had the shelf Wiseco's fail in the 600hp region......

Use the shelf CPs up to 700hp, after 700 use the upgraded wrist pins.

The shelf wiseco's have a very thin wrist pin...ive seen them bend @ the 700+whp level. They are fine with the upgraded pins.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Wisecos are very good for the money, come with rings, and are good for your HP goals. I say go for the wisecos.

we personally use arias here but we have made 800+ hp on wiscos and cps with upgraded wrist pins with no problems and just under that with out ungraded wrist pins all 3 are brands will work for what you want its more preference

all forged pistons will sound loud when cold. that is normal unless the piston to wall clearance is really tight (which is no good for FI)

Not exactly. If you want to apply that overbuilding stratagy to everything, he'd have custom strutted pistons, i-beams, custom darton o-ringed sleeves, a full girdle, etc. His plans are 450whp, not 1000whp.

OTS Wisecos are cheaper than CP's, and have a long history of having very nice skirt taper. CP's cost a bit more, but you can see the design is a little better underneith. Custom Wisecos are just as good, just a little more expensive than OTS options. They also never had that issue with a certain melting of the intake-side ringlands that a CERTAIN BRAND piston did, before they "upgraded" the design.

For 450whp, you can't go wrong with either. FWIW my D16's wisecos were set to .0035" (.0038" after the coating smooths out), and its just as quiet as it was before.
