Please don't respond if you don't have any clue what you are talking about.

When I welded in the bung it kinda slanted downward but its not real bad at all. let me know what you think.

If I where you I would get 2 45* fittings and get rid of the straights..... That should work but I would go with something else to be on the safe side

I would weld a male steel fitting to the pan at maybe 10-15* up and use a straight fitting there and a 45 off the turbo.

Those summit ends kinda suck too BTW. I just did about 14 of them today.

What makes them suck in your eyes? I haven't had any problems with Summit's before.

actually you only need 1 45*. the one on the bottom that connects to the pan should be 45. the other can stay straight.

No look again... 1 45* on the pan will not work... it will be best with 2 45*'s

I like those gaskets.

btw I pressurized the fuel system i made today. The summit ends tended to leak a lot more than a very similar system i built a few weeks ago with aeroquip parts. I used the same techniques in cutting and installing all the parts. I noticed the taper inside on the summit ends is more gradual and the outer sleeve has smaller less pronounced ridges. They are also in a spiral where the aeroquip ones are parallel. Next time i will make sure to pay a little more and save all the headache. $.02

As long as that hose isn't kinked, you're fine. Drain physics. Turbo drain is higher than oil pan, it will drain. There really is no rocketry to 'em.

Looks fine to me, as long as the hole is big enough it's fine. On a DSM they are just like that (A big L)

The oil is going down back into the pain, it's not like it is going to get clogged up and start making it's way up the return line. It's fine just leave it alone. Hell mine goes to the right and down and I have never have a problem. The oil is going to be HOT!!! witch makes it even more thin.

Actually there is a great book out there on plumbing. Nuts, bolts, fasteners, and plumbing, by Carroll Smith. Talks alot about how the ends are made and what construction works the best with the hose type.

Personally, I used a straight and then a 90* right into the pan. no issues at all it was clean and fit perfect.

Just look under any sink in your house for proof that this is untrue

well that would be great if this where a sink and the only reason a sink is like that is to keep water in the trap (the U thing) when you are not running water to keep the sewer smeel out of your house...... if you look at any pipe under your house you would see that they are all going down hill.... also water is thiner than oil and drains much better

I would not use that drain like you have it now. I would do what I said before

LOL, whatever.

As long as there are no kinks, just think kitchen sinks!

heh.

Really. It will be fine. I've tried a million ways, and i've personally found ones that didn't work. You'll know in 5 minutes, it'll just smoke to ****. You won't hurt anything in 5 minutes.
