Default wierd electrical **** going on!!!! might be smc related

my car is running shitty. well half the time that is. Here is the deal. when i drive my car, sometimes it will act up and the left turn signal and the high beam lights will stay lit and the car will lose all electrical power. the car will idle, but when i step on the gas, it dies. i think there is a short somewhere but i didnt know if it would cause it to act up like this. also the tach jumps around like crazy. im getting really upset about the whole deal. i installed the smc and it ran fine for like 2 months but now its acting up and i dont know why. any suggestions? thanks
brian

Check ALL GROUNDS UNDER THE ENGINE!!! I bet you have a loose ground/ bad ground cable, bad battery, or something along that line. Also check the grounds on the tranny and engine and other things like that.

also there was this connector behind the guage cluster that was not connected. it is a blue connector that goes right in the middle of the cluster. it is the smallest connector on the cluster.

problem resolved!!! there are 2 grounds that are connected from the negative terminals on the battery and it was only connected to the one on the clutch, which i assume wasnt good enough, so i connected the other one, and all problems went away, at least for the time being. i appreciate everyones help. thank you very much.
