Wideband o2 sensor question.
Question: Is there any specifications of how far to mount the wideband o2 sensor so it reads very accurate readings? Is there any precautions to say like setting it too close to the turbo or the manifold?
The spec sheet for the Bosch LSU4 sensor, which is what 90% of the wideband
kits come with these days, specify to mount it at least 12", but 18" is optimal.
These sensors get there accuracy by being kept at a precise temperature.
If you have excess heat from the exhaust screwing things up, its harder for the
controller to keep it stable.

In the aem instructions it says to mount it 36 inches below exhaust port, which on my drag 3 downpipe would be longer then the downpipe. Where do you mount this on turbocharged cars?

It doesnt matter if you are turbo or NA...this is the recommendation.
