Re: wideband o2 sensor help (2FAST4U)
you can do it yourself and only spend 180 bucks for the same thing:

i cant speak for it since I just ordered a kit myself.

thats based of a stock o2 sensor if i am not mistaken. You can easily tap the o2 voltage and check using a digital multimeter for less.

Re: wideband o2 sensor help (b18bturbo)
the systems ive seen use a different oxygen sensor that is more sensitive. stock ones that come with cars are only accurate at stoich. 14.7:1. the further you get the worse it is.. we want accuracy all across the board. isnt that the point of a wideband?

not true.
based on the UEGO sensor that you can get for $120 from partsbin (the Bosch version). Its a 5 wire wideband sensor using a Nernst cell.
Its the same one the Motec PLM Lambda meter uses.

Re: wideband o2 sensor help (LsTurbo91)
wow thanks for that thread. Im still a little confused but ill look into it some more. Im just looking to use it as a tuning tool on a car that I install turbo or nitrous on. Ill be getting into an established business in about a month so im looking for all my tools from now so i can start off on the right foot. at first the cars are going to be using regular bolton kits or any custom kit that I make, but from there the sky is the limit. I want to be able to use it for base kits as well as with standalones. thanks so far guys. dean

I have the fjo wideband, very happy with it.
89turboteg:
If you've got a wideband and are tuning customer's cars, you can use it for nearly anything! If they have boltons and something programmable like an FPR & VAFC then you can tune them for max power and they'll love you

Re: wideband o2 sensor help (Xerxes)
It uses the honda wideband sensor that came in some civics, plugs right in-the connector that comes on the controller is a honda connector. And yes you just weld a bung into your exhaust or install it where your regular o2 sensor is now. (before the cat)
