wich BOV to use for recirculating system?
I'd like to have a BOV that gets the job done and can be recirculated back behind the filter of the turbo. What are my options?

Thanks for the ideas, but where did you source one from a 911 turbo? I'd go with that one as well but there ain't really many porsche turbos laying arround on the scrapyard.

Most BOV's can be recirculated. That is, most besides Tial. Greddy, Vortec, Apexi, Blitz, ARC, and many, many others can be recirculated.

The Type-S has a slight bead around it for dumping (and origianlly had a screw-in accessory), but the genuine one isn't produced anymore. I think there's a blitz and a few others that have a nipple you can bolt on.
As for OEM stuff in Europe, I'd look into the Bosch-style. AFAIK, they were used on either Volvo or Saab. Europe got Evos previous to the Evo8, so hit up a Mitsu dealership about their OEM valve, since they use a MAF system w/recirculating BOV. Evo versions should be for higher performance than say a Volvo version.

I bought it new from an internet parts house. They're available online. I don't remember the whole part number, other than its the Bosch DV and it ends with an 8. There's a couple different bosch DVs, they all have the same black plastic housing, the difference is only the Porsche one has a brass plunger, all the rest are rubber.

Really good info, that why i like HT!
I'll check out the Mitsu stock version, though i skeptic about the BOSCH plastik DV, since they do tend to fail, and the porsche one is supposed to be better but then again VW guys prefered to upgrade to a Forge piece.
In europe there are no DSM's. But thanks guys i now know wich way to look.

Get the 1G DSM BOV, they are metal. Not the 2G plastic ones

Re: wich BOV to use for recirculating system? (Clutch101)
At first i was happy to see a link for a HKS bov, but then i noticed that somehow you have to choose between the 9PSI or 12+PSI versions. What's that all about?

Get P/N 17670-006100, it'll do what you need.

It's spring activated in case you want to use it as a blow off valve. The different options are just for what spring you want.
I'd go with clutch101 on the HKS. I was going to suggest that before he did.
